NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Jon Stewart made a return to 'The Daily Show', and fans were super delighted to see their favorite star once again.

Comedy Central shared a promo clip as the host will appear every Monday on the show with the 2024 presidential elections on.

Stewart said that he was looking for a platform where he could talk about his political thoughts, which he anticipated to be Apple TV+ at the beginning, reports The Hollywood Reporter.

Why did Jon Stewart's stint at Apple TV+ fizzle out?

But since the streaming, Stewart said that he was looking for a platform where he could talk about his political thoughts platform canceled his talk show in 2023, he will return to ‘The Daily Show.’

“I wanted a place to unload thoughts as we get into this election season,” he said.

“I thought I was going to do it over at — they call it Apple TV+. It’s a television enclave, very small. It’s like living in Malibu. But they decided … they felt that they didn’t want me to say things that might get me in trouble," he said.

It was in 2021 when Stewart's 'The Problem' used to explore a single topic with each episode. As per sources, there was a conflict of opinion between Apple and Stewart over sensitive topics such as AI and China.

Tim Cook questioned over the cancelation

The American politician also reacted and questioned Tim Cook, Members of the US House of Representatives asked Apple CEO Tim whether the tech giant’s decision to cancel Stewart’s show was motivated by the fact that the host may have been planning an upcoming episode about China.

“While companies have the right to determine what content is appropriate for their streaming service, the coercive tactics of a foreign power should not be directly or indirectly influencing these determinations,” the leaders of the House of

Representatives Select Committee on Competition with the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) wrote in the letter to Cook.

Stewart meanwhile said, “The team are unbelievable. Jen Flanz runs a ridiculous ship, she knows what she’s doing in a way that is really impressive to watch and all of the writing staff and producers. It’s a building filled with incredibly talented people.”
