EL CAJON, CALIFORNIA: In a devastating incident, the San Diego Sheriff's Department is investigating the apparent murder-suicide of a couple, Jose Benjamin Lopez Valle, 41, and Brenda Valle, 38, in El Cajon.
Responding to a report of an assault with a deadly weapon around 12:45 pm on Saturday, January 6, deputies discovered the lifeless bodies of the Valle couple at their residence in the 1600 block of Hilton Head Court.

Authorities revealed that Jose and Brenda had suffered gunshot wounds. Moreover, a firearm was located near the victims, and preliminary investigations suggest that Jose's injuries were self-inflicted, according to a statement from the Sheriff's Department.
The Valle couple, parents to three children aged 18, 16, and 11, tragically lost their lives in the apparent murder-suicide. Fortunately, the children were unharmed and are now under the care of officials. Authorities have assured that there are no outstanding suspects, and there is no threat to the community stemming from the incident.
