MANHATTAN, NEW YORK: 'Real Time' host Bill Maher didn't seem to buy ex-pornstar Stormy Daniels' testimony this week in the New York trial against former President Trump.

During a panel discussion on Friday night, May 10, Maher reiterated his vexation with how the criminal charges against Trump have been impeded while highlighting the recent developments with the Georgia and classified documents cases. "So it's Stormy or bust," Maher quipped, as per Fox News.

The 68-year-old then got serious, declaring Daniels a bad witness. "She's a bad witness!" he said. He doubled down his arguments by playing clips of his own interview with Daniels in 2018 while discussing her alleged affair with Trump, something Trump has long denied.

"You say it's not a Me Too case," Maher said to her at the time. "It's not a Me Too case," Daniels responded, adding "I wasn't assaulted. I wasn't attacked, or raped, or coerced or blackmailed…. They tried to shove me in the Me Too box to further their own agenda. And first of all, I didn't want to be part of that because it's not the truth and I'm not a victim in that regard."

Maher reacted to the clip, "That's not what she's saying now."

He added, "She's talking about ‘he was bigger and blocking the way.’ It's all the Me Too buzzwords. She said, ‘There was an imbalance of power for sure.’ ‘My hands were shaking so hard.’ She said she blacked out. Blacked out? She's a porn star!… Do you really think she blacked out? A porn star is used to having sex with people she doesn't [like]… I just think she's not a good witness."

Bill Maher was excited at the beginning of the trial

The HBO political talk show host was previously cheery at the beginning of the trial, hyping how it could be a real game changer in the presidential election.

"This one, I got to say I was always against [it] because I thought of all the ones you're bringing, this is the least serious. Now I think Trump could lose," Maher said two weeks ago. "I'm turning on this one because it's not what I thought it was going to be. And this David Pecker – I mean, brought down by a Pecker, this guy," he added.

"And by the way, if this goes that way and Trump loses, it's going to change the whole election," Maher later said, adding "A number of independents, a significant number, and Republicans say their vote will change if he is a convicted criminal. And he'll look like a loser, not that he doesn't already, but you know."

"And Alvin Bragg is going to be the rising star of the Democratic Party because everyone said, ‘Not a good idea,’ including me. So, we'll see," he continued.

Bill Maher is not the only one who accused Stormy Daniels of giving a false testimony

MEAWW previously reported that former US District Judge Shira Scheindlin remarked on 'Anderson Cooper 360°' Tuesday night, May 7, that Daniels made her motivation pretty evident while taking the stand.

"She strikes me that she has an agenda. She is trying to get [Trump] convicted and that‘s coming through at least to me," Scheindlin said. During the media appearance, she also warned that Daniels’ testimony could nobble the jury against her.

"She may blow it. If they keep her going for hours and hours, she may just say something that‘s very, very strange and affects the jury. I don‘t think this jury likes this woman anyway, and the more she talks, the less they may like her," Scheindlin said.

CNN legal analyst Elie Honig made similar comments on 'The Source' when he called out Daniels’ open hatred of Trump on display. "When the witness hates the person whose liberty is at stake, that’s a big d**n deal!" Honig said, adding "And she’s putting out tweets, fantasizing about him being in jail. That really undermines the credibility."

Internet reacts to Bill Maher berating Stormy Daniels

X users have slammed the talk show host after he took a jab at Stormy Daniels. One X user mocked Bill Maher, tweeting, "Bill Maher has definitely changed his WEED SUPPLIER because he’s been saying some crazy RIGHT WING stuff lately!" Another user asked, "Bill Maher's always got something to say, doesn't he?"

"I thought she was a strong AF witness so strong that Trump was scared to defend himself" opined a user and another added, "Bill just retire already ok." "No one is pure evil. Find the best in everybody. Wait long enough and people will surprise and impress you," said one.
