Justin Long once 's**t the bed' while wife Kate Bosworth slept next to him due to food poisoning

MEXICO CITY, MEXICO: Actor Justin Long made a pretty graphic revelation regarding a terrible incidence of food sickness involving his wife Kate Bosworth.

In an appearance on Tuesday, July 16, 'PIE With Kurt Sutter and Katey Sagal' podcast episode, the 46-year-old actor admitted that he had soiled in the bed next to his wife Bosworth, 41.

On the Tuesday episode of 'PIE with Kurt Sutter and Katey Sagal podcast,' Long openly talked about how he was forced to defecate next to his wife after contracting food poisoning while on a mission trip to Mexico City with Smile Train, an organization that helps kids with cleft lips and palates.

"I was hooked up to an IV, and she was having to follow me to the bathroom with the thing, so I was having to just — it was like Dumb and Dumber," Long remembered.

"I was just like really like comically unloading and um, and then at one point that night, I woke up, and there's no other way to say this. I can't dance around it. I had s**t the bed."

Long added, "I had s**t the bed, and she was in the bed. And I had to just face all of these fears, and by the end, I was like not even thinking about it."

While the food poisoning happened on the day Long and his wife "were meant to tour this incredible hospital," he told People in May that his illness only persisted for a day.

He remarked, "I actually got to witness firsthand how great these doctors were and the level of excellence at this hospital. I was the direct recipient of all of this great, important funding from Smile Train."

Bosworth and Long initially connected during a 2021 movie shoot but didn't announce their romance to the world until January 2022, per Daily Mail. Fortunately, Long was reminded by Bosworth's extreme sensitivity of how "lucky" he was to have her.

Following the soiling incident, Long said he loved his wife even more after witnessing Bosworth "patiently" hold on to his IV bag and reassure him everything was fine.

"She was, like, two feet away from me with this IV bag," he remarked. "And she was holding it so patiently, and she was like: 'Everything's fine.' And I thought about how much I loved her. I was like: 'I just love this person, I'm so grateful to this person.'"

Long said of his wife, "She was not judging, not making me feel weird, or bad, and I just felt so lucky, you know?"

"I was s**tting my brains out, and she was looking at me lovingly, and I thought: 'This is really romantic.'"

"She convinced me to take a shower after I had been, you know, s**tting the bed all night," he continued.

"And so I did. You know where all you want to do is be in bed? But I got myself in the shower, I cleaned off, and then she was on the phone with the doctor, and she saw me."

"I could count on one hand how many times she's had a judgmental approach to something that I was doing. But I saw her watch me get into bed, back into bed, into the same bed, onto my side. I was avoiding the spot, but I was still getting back into my filth."

"And she looked at me and she said, what are you doing? and I said, I'm just getting back into bed. And she said, don't do that. Go on my side," he added.

Long and Bosworth got engaged in March 2023 about a year after sparking romance rumors. About two months later, they got married.
