AUSTIN, TEXAS: In a recent mugshot taken at Lucile Plane State Jail in Dayton, Texas, killer yoga instructor Kaitlin Armstrong was seen with a stony expression. The 36-year-old, her notoriously wavy locks tucked behind her ears, looked directly into the camera.

After learning that, 25, was seeing her on-and-off boyfriend Colin Strickland, 35, Armstrong apparently became enraged and fatally shot the professional cyclist, as per Daily Mail

When will Kaitlin Armstrong be released from prison?

On November 16 this year, Armstrong was found guilty of first-degree murder, and currently, 2112 is listed as the anticipated release date for her.

Moreover, she cannot apply for parole until 2052 and is not eligible for visitation.

On May 11, 2022, in Austin, Armstrong started following Wilson and Strickland while they went swimming and out to supper.

She supposedly shot Wilson twice in the head, once in the heart, and once in the hand after Strickland dropped her off at a friend's apartment and left.

The medical examiner concluded that Wilson had probably raised her hands to try to protect herself from the gunfire.

Notably, Armstrong was recommended to serve at least 40 years by the prosecution. Previously, she turned down a plea offer from Jose Garza, the district attorney for Travis County.

According to an anonymous source who spoke to Daily Mail and noted, "She could have been released from prison in her 50s or 60s...A heck of a lot sooner than if she's convicted by a jury."

While Armstrong was out of jail for a medical visit, 19 days prior to her October 30 trial, she attempted to break out of police custody, but a jail guard caught her.

Authorities later discovered that she had been practicing running before her disastrous escapade and had made up a reason to visit the doctor.

Kaitlin Armstrong spent $7,000 on plastic surgery to alter her appearance

Once Armstrong was identified as identified as a person of interest, an arrest warrant for first-degree murder was issued for her on May 17.

However, after being questioned by the police, Armstrong fled to Costa Rica on her sister's passport and remained at large for 43 days.

On June 29, 2022, US Marshals finally found her in a secluded seaside town in the Central American nation and brought her back to the US.

According to court testimony, she spent nearly $7,000 on plastic surgery to alter her appearance. The procedures apparently included a nose job, brow lift, and fillers.

She also apparently changed her hairstyle and got it dyed in a darker color.

The perpetrator was arraigned on July 21, 2022, and pleaded not guilty to the first-degree murder charge.

For her attempted escape from Austin jail guards, the convicted murderer is facing an additional felony charge that has not yet been tried.
