NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Rep Lauren Boebert (R-Colo) joined Steve Bannon on his 'War Room' podcast on June 20, where they discussed the recent mandate in Louisiana requiring public school classrooms to display the Ten Commandments.

Boebert expressed her support for the legislation signed into law by Republican Gov Jeff Landry the previous day, applauding Landry as a "great friend" and endorsing the measure wholeheartedly.

Lauren Boebert advocates for moral education with the Ten Commandments in schools

“This is something we need all throughout our nation ... because we need morals back in our nation, back in our schools,” she said in a clip surfaced by Meidas Touch Network.

“If there’s anything we are going to present in front of our children, it’s going to be, it should be, the word of God. Because this is the one truth that is never going to change and never going to leave them. It’s not some woke fad of the day that you can get canceled for believing in 10 years from now.”

"So I don't think that it's bad to have something that says, honor your father and mother so that you will live a long life," Boebert asserted. "That is the first commandment that has a promise attached to it."

Her remarks, delivered with fervor, highlighted her belief in the moral and educational value of such teachings. "I don't think that it's bad to teach children that adultery is something that you should not do," she continued, referencing another Commandment.

"And also listed in the Ten Commandments, thou shall not steal," Boebert added emphatically, emphasizing the moral guidance she believes these principles provide to young students.

However, it was her subsequent comments that stirred the most controversy. "Maybe the left and some of these politicians are having a meltdown over having that right there listed in our classrooms," she asserted. "Thou shall not steal is because government hates competition."

Recently, Boebert gained notoriety after being ejected from a performance of 'Beetlejuice' for vaping, talking loudly, and engaging in inappropriate behavior with her date. Initially, both she and her campaign denied these claims, but video evidence later surfaced, prompting her to apologize for the incident.

Irony abounds as netizens criticize Lauren Boebert for moral commentary

Social media users criticized Boebert, highlighting what they perceived as irony in her comments about morals while referencing her past behavior

One viewer expressed, "Why is the Beetlejuice H***job attendant on tv?"

Another viewer shared, "Irony has been dead for MAGA REPUBLICANS for so long it doesn’t exist for them anymore. They’ll say & do anything because they don’t believe their base will hold them accountable."

One viewer pointed out, "Rules for thee but not for me!"

A follower observed, "Hypocrite of the Year: @laurenboebert."

One comment stated, "Bobo Beetlejuice herself is the very definition of hypocrisy!"

Another comment read, "I guess she is the poster child as to why you shouldn’t post the 10 commandments."

"Lauren Boebert is your typical conservative hypocrite. Wasn't she caught vaping and groping her date in a public theater? Yeah, the morally immoral," explained an individual.
