MANHATTAN, NEW YORK CITY: Lily Gladstone appeared on 'The Tonight Show' and discussed her experiences at the Golden Globes, talking about how she bonded with Harrison Ford over 'Star Wars' at the event.

Gladstone achieved a historic milestone by becoming the first Indigenous person to win a Golden Globe for Best Actress.

Jimmy Fallon first congratulated the American actress, saying, "Yesterday, you just were nominated for two SAG Awards. Congratulations on that. You were so good", continuing, "And on Sunday, you took home a historic Golden Globe for Best Actress".

On being asked, "What did it feel like exactly? What was your experience?" at the Globes, Gladstone described her experience as "wild", emphasizing the contrast between the glamorous exterior and the behind-the-scenes chaos.

She mentioned how award shows are produced, saying, "You grow up watching these things and then you see how the sausage is made".

Gladstone then mentioned how the atmosphere was hectic during commercial breaks, with everyone rushing to the bathroom, and she humorously characterized it as cutthroat, drawing a parallel to the intensity of the competition depicted in 'Squid Game'.

'I told him that 'Return of the Jedi' was the reason that I wanted to act'

After a few moments of conversation on her mom's interactions with Meryl Streep and Timothee Chalamet at the Globe, and talking about her dad's support for her acting career and her excitement about being cast in a Martin Scorsese movie, Fallon said, "I don't think anyone was happier for you at the Golden Globes than Harrison Ford. Look how happy -- He was so psyched".

The screen then changed to a display where Ford was seen visibly elated for Gladstone's win, with Leonardo DiCaprio right behind them in the photo.

Fallon asked, "And there's Leo, too. Did you get to hang with Harrison Ford and meet him?", to which Gladstone replied, "Yeah. I mean, he wasn't at our table, but, you know, we lapped each other, so I was sometimes closer to Harrison than I was to Leo".

"But it was incredible because, I mean, this whole acting journey or aspiration of mine started because I loved the Ewoks so much," she continued.

That's when she revealed how Ewoks from Star Wars got her excited about movies during their childhood, humorously mentioning the idea of wanting to be an Ewok and how Ewoks was the reason Ford and Gladstone bonded over.

"I told him that 'Return of the Jedi' was the reason that I wanted to act. And he said, 'Oh, yeah, me too'. He was the best".

Gladstone then recalls a humorous incident where, during a moment of urgency to go to the bathroom, Ford, "in a Han Solo style", quickly got up and approached the camera guy with a series of questions, creating a lively and entertaining scene.

Both Gladstone and Fallon then expressed their admiration and love for Harrison Ford's spontaneous and enthusiastic actions.
