The baby shower came just weeks after the two brothers were killed in a cycling accident in New Jersey on 29 August.

In a post on October 13, on Instagram, Madeline wrote about how the celebration, which she turned as "Baby Shower of my Dreams," was a tribute to her late husband and their future child, whom they had named Tripp.

"My husband would have loved all the balloons," Madeline shared. "The way you were able to tie in my husband brought instant tears when I walked in," she added in the post.
