NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Rep Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) expressed her frustration on June 27, arguing that White people are experiencing discrimination in the workplace while Republicans are being accused of racial bias during a House Oversight Committee hearing.

The hearing was focused on 'ending illegal racial discrimination' when Greene voiced her displeasure with the allegations of racism directed at Republicans.

The House Committee on Oversight and Accountability held a hearing where witnesses claimed that US companies are unlawfully promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) programs, and urged the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) to investigate these practices.

The EEOC, created to enforce Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, is accused of neglecting its duty to protect employees' civil rights under the Biden Administration, especially concerning sexual harassment and discrimination based on sex.

Members criticized the EEOC for failing to hold companies accountable for discriminatory DEI initiatives.

"I'm listening today to my colleagues on the other side of the aisle charging Republicans with racism, hate, saying that we discriminate against people from the LGBTQ community, or based on race, has been appalling today, and I'm sorry for the witnesses that have had to hear that," Greene said.

The lawmaker then highlighted several companies that she implied were discriminating against White individuals.

"For the people watching at home today, we're talking about Title VII of the Civil Rights Act," she said.

"Yet today, and it was reported by CBS, it says that major US companies gave 94% of new jobs to people of color in 2021. White workers accounted for 20,524 jobs, just 6 percent."

She also pointed out that BlackRock, a financial services company, had a program aimed at promoting "students who self-identify as Black or African-American, Hispanic or Latino, Native American, LGBTQ, or disabled."

"This is talking about race, gender, LGBTQ, definitely leaves off white," she asserted. "White is not on this list, so that would be based on race. That seems to be a violation to me."

Social media quickly criticizes Greene's take

Greene's comments faced immediate backlash, as viewers noted that her views were "deranged", "delusional", and more.

One viewer said, "I wonder who would hire YOU 'white' mtg if you weren't employed by the gov't? If a potential boss checked out your postings - space lasers and the whole deal, you wouldn't even get interview #1."

Another viewer said, "She's always bellowing...anybody notices her bleached blonde hair is turning green? Chartreuse!!"

One viewer noted, "KKKaren IS DERANGED, DELUSIONAL, DEPLORABLE, and a DISGRACE to the US Congress!"

A follower observed, "Just admit it. You're a racist."

One comment read, "Majorly Traitor Gangrene is lying by omission. The report covers only 88 companies on the S&P 100."

Another comment read, "If there was a god MTG would wake up black tomorrow."

"She's so fucking dumb," wrote one person
