Mark Levin labels Joe Biden 'serial liar' after speaker Mike Johnson fact-checks POTUS' border crisis handling

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Speaker Mike Johnson asserted on January 29 that President Joe Biden has not exhausted his authority concerning immigration enforcement, and news analyst, Mark Reed Levin is chiming in on the same.  

Biden, before departing for a campaign event in Florida, stated that there was nothing more he could do to address the border crisis and urged lawmakers to grant him more power.

"I've done all I can do. Just give me the power," Biden remarked, continuing, "I've asked from the very day I got into office. Give me the Border Patrol. Give me the people — give me the people, the judges. Give me the people who can stop this and make it work right."

Mike Johnson contradicts Biden on border crisis handling

Speaker Johnson contradicted Biden's claim, asserting that it is "simply untrue."

The fact-check follows President Biden's recent commitment to "shut down" the border, pending the passage of a controversial bill. Republicans have criticized the legislation, asserting that it would have minimal impact on the ongoing migrant crisis.

Speaker Johnson countered these claims by highlighting specific actions available to Biden that he has chosen not to employ in addressing the border situation.

In response to these assertions, Speaker Johnson pointed out specific actions within President Biden's authority that he has chosen not to utilize.

Johnson stated, "As I explained to him in a letter late last year, and have specifically reiterated to him on multiple occasions since, he can and must take executive action immediately to reverse the catastrophe he has created."

He added, "The Immigration and Nationality Act coupled with recent Supreme Court precedent gives him 'ample authority' to 'suspend the entry of all aliens or any class of aliens as immigrants or nonimmigrants, or impose on the entry of aliens any restrictions he may deem to be appropriate.'"

Now, an American broadcast news analyst, columnist, lawyer, political commentator, radio personality, and writer, Mark Reed Levin also took to X, writing, "Biden is a serial liar."
