Megan Bodiford: Missing mom-of-3 sent ominous texts about 'killer' to friends who say 'she was always in danger'

BAMBERG COUNTY, SOUTH CAROLINA: The Bamberg County Sheriff's Office is currently searching for a 25-year-old woman who was last seen on April 25 in Denmark, South Carolina.

Before her disappearance, she sent an unsettling text to her friends, warning, "If you don't hear from me in 30 minutes, he killed me, He has a gun." During the investigation, the sheriff received statements against Bodiford's boyfriend, and a substantial portion of the provided information pertains to her disappearance.

Megan Bodiford's boyfriend who was out on parole had lengthy rapsheet 

A friend of Megan Bodiford told police that Bodiford had three young daughters and would not leave without them. Bodiford's boyfriend, Jarrett Haskell Davis, was on parole while she was missing.

Davis has a long history of crime, including domestic violence charges in Barnwell County as per CrimeOnline. A friend of Bodiford said she had been messaging Davis' parole officer for a month before the mother of three went missing. The friend feared for Bodiford’s welfare and wanted to inform the officer that Bodiford was violating his parole. There was also a report of Bodiford's child being missing, but the baby was found safe shortly after. Friends of Bodiford say they have been worried about her safety before because her daughter's father allegedly assaulted her several times.

According to FitsNews, Bodiford's phone has not been active since she sent the unsettling text last week.

Friends said she was last seen with Davis and a woman with brown hair. They also expressed frustration with the police, stating that they failed to prevent her disappearance by not arresting Davis on the pending warrant and ignoring their concerns.

One friend stated, "She's always been in danger."

As of April 30, police have not located Megan Bodiford, and her friends are trying to remain hopeful while simultaneously bracing for the worst.

They continued to pray for her safe return. One friend expressed, "I want to tell her so much right now that’s happening, I know she would laugh. But really, I just want to know that she’s in a better place and have some closure."

No charges have been brought against Megan's boyfriend, Jarrett Davis, and law enforcement has not suggested that he is a person of interest in connection with her disappearance.

According to Bamberg County Sheriff, Megan Bodiford, who stands at 5 feet 2 inches tall and weighs 180 pounds. She was last observed wearing a grey t-shirt and Batman pajama pants. She might be traveling in a dark gray 2013-1025 Ford Explorer bearing an SC Temporary tag with the number CPO530PR.
