Michael Strahan in splits after Keegan-Michael Key mispronounces his name while promoting 'Wonka'

NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Michael Strahan was recently left in splits on the 'Good Morning America' when actor and comedian Keegan-Michael Key performed an impromptu skit live on air.

The ‘Key and Peele’ star came to the morning show to promote his new film, ‘Wonka’ starring Timothee Chalamet in the lead and later broke out into a skit at the behest of Strahan.

The former NFL star expressed his liking towards one of Key’s characters, Mr Garvey, and asked him to demonstrate how he would pronounce Timothee Chalamet’s name.

This resulted in a comical segment where Key, who takes pleasure in portraying the character Mr Garvey, amusingly mimicked Strahan's name pronunciation.

In a clip shared on X (formerly Twitter), ‘GMA’ wrote, “How would Key & Peele's iconic substitute teacher Mr Garvey pronounce Timothee Chalamet's name? @KeeganMKey's answer didn't disappoint.”

Strahan inquired of Key, saying, “It's almost been — this blows my mind - it's almost been a decade since your sketch comedy show Key & Peele.”

“I mean, just brilliant, just brilliant. Howie Long and I always laugh at the football - when you pronounce the football players' names. But Mr Garvey, the substitute teacher, that is the one that always has the memes and everyone goes back to.”

He then asked, "How would you say — how would Mr Garvey say - Timothee Chalamet's name?”

Key got into Mr Garvey’s character and joked, “Oh, you talking 'bout Tim-o-fee Shalamett? He's one of my favorite new actors, I love that kid, that kid is good.”

He then got to the former NFL star’s name and continued, “I'm gonna tell you something else, Mikhail Straharn. That kid is going places, he makes good movies, man. Tim-o-fee, I love Tim-o-fee Shalamett. My favorite actor.”

After he stopped laughing, Strahan praised, "Well I tell you, if he's in a movie with you, he's in the right movie.”

Key, back to his normal personality, smiled and exclaimed, "Oh, that's sweet!"

Michael Strahan recently took to Instagram to flaunt his extraordinary wealth and taste in interior decorations.

The former NFL star shared a few snaps of him relaxing in his lavish living room with his dogs, Enzo and Zuma as his decorated Christmas tree shined brightly.

A large Louis Vuitton trunk serving as his coffee table meshed well with the beige rug beneath it.

Similarly, on the wall behind his couch, a large painting designed by the iconic late artist Jean-Michel Basquiat took the decor to the next level.

Many expressed admiration for the living room, with one person specifically stating, "I want that LV trunk! lol," and two others agreeing, saying, "Me too" and "Ditto."
