Miley Cyrus' mother Tish reveals how she started taking 'devil's drug' after near-fatal tour bus fire

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Miley Cyrus' mother Tish has revealed her personal struggles and life after divorcing celebrated country singer Billy Ray.

Making an appearance on the ‘Call Her Daddy’ podcast, the manager and producer shared how she started taking ‘devil’s drug.’ "I did not smoke pot until the Bangerz tour, 10 years ago. I was like 'this is the devil, the gateway drug,'" she said.

She recalled, “But we were on tour and I'm on a brand new tour bus with Noah and Miley's manager. I'm going to sleep, but there is a fire from a burst tyre.”

“We pull to the side of the road, I'm trying to get Noah, my dog and to wake the manager up. Three minutes later, the bus exploded. My pyjamas, laptop everything burnt. It was crazy,” she added.

It was this forgetful experience that made her struggle with sleep as she continued to travel on a tour bus with her daughter Miley, as per Daily Mail.

“Miley was like "Mum if you could just smoke weed". That's how it started. I started smoking to go to sleep,” Tish said, adding “I am a Christian and I love weed.”

Tish filed for divorce a second time, as the document revealed that the two had split two years ago.

“I really during that period took a good, hard look at my life and was like "what was I going to do?" It had not been in a good place for a long time.”

“I think I did say so long out of fear of being alone. I met him when I was 23/ 24. Being alone and all of a sudden, having the weight of my world off my shoulders in some ways, I was able to just breathe and smoke pot in the garden and go skinny-dipping in my pool. That's what I did during Covid.”

She continued over the podcast, “My two biggest fears in my life were being alone and my mum passing away. I just remember calling Doctor Amen and going: "put me in a mental hospital".

“I could not eat, sleep or stop crying. I literally weighed like 130bs. Looking back on it, it would have been better for her had I left. It would have been much better,” she added.

“I just never wanted to get a divorce. My mum and dad met on a Monday and married on a Friday. They were married for thirty years until my dad passed away," she continued.

Tish is now married to the 'Prison Break' actor Dom Purcell.
