Recently, she fired back at body shamers who sparked an internet debate by criticizing her appearance, claiming she looked like a '40-year-old Jersey housewife'.

In response to social media critics on Instagram, 20-year-old actress Millie Bobby Brown didn’t hold back in sharing her thoughts. In a now-deleted Instagram story, she boldly addressed the backlash with a six-word message, "Women grow!! not sorry about it :)", against a simple white background. 

Although the story is no longer there, users quickly shared screenshots of the post on X.

To give context, the Instagram post that drew criticism was a carousel of photos where the Florence by Mills founder donned a white and burgundy toile print dress with a neutral makeup look. In one image, she posed for a standing mirror selfie, while another showed a close-up of her hand holding a light peach-colored phone. The final image offered a zoomed-in shot of half her face.

This latest post comes just a few days after Millie Bobby Brown wrapped up filming for the final season of 'Stranger Things', a role she has been playing since she was 11 years old in 2016.

In a heartfelt video shared on Instagram, Brown can be heard saying, "Isn't graduation supposed to bring relieflike you're glad to leave behind the teachers and classmates?"

She continued, "Not me. I am nowhere near ready to leave you guys.” She added, “I love each and every one of you, and I'll forever carry the memories and bonds we've created together as a family."

After Millie Bobby Brown's response to the body-shaming comments, many of her fans quickly came to her defense.

One user questioned critics, "Why do people think she went from being a teenage to a 40yo? She looks fine." One wrote, "She looks perfectly fine ♡." Another fan on X added, "She looks great though." 

One reiterated her statement, "Women grow! Not sorry about it  is a concise and empowering statement."

Someone else praised, "Millie’s confidence is inspiring! Growth is natural, and it’s great to see her embracing it unapologetically." 

One more social media user added, "Millie’s confident response proves growth and self assurance always shine through!" The final user claimed, "Critics talking s**t Millie."
