SCHENECTADY, NEW YORK: Persia Nelson, 24, the mother of missing 11-month-old Halo Branton, shared a series of unsettling Facebook posts just hours before her arrest in connection with the infant's death.

Accused of second-degree manslaughter, Nelson allegedly "dropped her child down an approximate ten-foot deep pipe access area." Her bail has been set at $500,000 cash and $1 million bond.

Persia Nelson made bizarre Facebook posts about being intoxicated ahead of arrest

Facebook posts have surfaced where Nelson claims to be intoxicated ahead of her arrest in connection to the 11-month-old's death.

In the early hours of Sunday morning, March 10, Nelson apparently posted, "I'm drunk asf don’t play with me right now lmfaooo." Responding to another post, she stated, "Nah, I'm literally crazy, don’t play with it."

Earlier, she had callously joked about Branton's name being "crotch goblin," as per Mirror.

Halo Branton was found after a frantic 12-hour search

An Amber Alert and an extensive search were launched after Brandon went missing on March 9 in Schenectady, New York. After a massive 12-hour search, she was eventually found in a frigid and soggy utility shed within a sprawling General Electric plant.

Initially reported as "safe and in good health," the post was deleted, and it was later revealed that the baby had tragically died after being rushed to the hospital.

Announcing Halo's death, Lieutenant Ryan Macherone said, "I'm standing here before you to announce the death of an 11-month-old child. There's nothing good about that. It's probably the worst thing that will ever happen (in his career). Most likely."

The charges against Nelson apparently stem from video evidence brought forth through the police investigation.
