'Modern Family' star Eric Stonestreet called 'nasty' by podcaster Taylor Strecker over Pepto-Bismol spat
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Eric Stonestreet, beloved for his role as Cameron Tucker on 'Modern Family', has come under fire for his behavior during a recent podcast appearance, as reported by Fox News.
Taylor Strecker, creator of the 'Taste of Taylor' podcast, called the actor her "worst guest" during an Amazon Live show with 'Summer House' star Paige DeSorbo.
Taylor Strecker recalls her spat with 'nasty' Eric Stonestreet
"Eric Stonestreet… He’s from ‘Modern Family,’ and he’s like the chubby, jolly, sweet, funny one," began Strecker, before dropping the bombshell, "Could he be anything but? Nasty!"
Strecker revealed that Stonestreet's main interest in appearing on her podcast was to promote his partnership with Pepto-Bismol. The podcaster admitted she was unaware of this agenda, as she thought they were going to talk about 'Modern Family'.
She recounted, "So we’re talking, we’re talking. I’m like, you know, just being my adorable self. And he’s like, ‘So when are we gonna talk about Pepto-Bismol?’"
The podcast host noted how she tried to steer the conversation to accommodate Stonestreet's interests, saying, "I said, ‘I have hemorrhoids. I’m the queen of diarrhea. I love Pepto-Bismol! We can talk about whatever you want.' And he said to me – and I quote – ‘Somebody didn’t do their homework.'"
At that point, Strecker fired back, "I said, ‘I’m sorry. Am I getting paid by Pepto-Bismol? The answer is no. So that’s your job to figure out, not mine.'"
The conversation about Stonestreet was shared on Amazon Live's official TikTok account.

Netizens react to Taylor Strecker's comments about Eric Stonestreet's nasty behavior
Strecker's remarks about the 'Modern Family' star ignited a debate about celebrity personas and professional conduct.
One defended Stonestreet, writing, "Nothing he said was nasty. She was unprepared and he jokingly called her out. Good for him."
Another echoed this sentiment, saying, "He's freaking hilarious as Cam on the show. I literally give zero f**ks about some stranger's personality in real life. As long as they do their job well (which is why we watch actors who we like) then I really don't care about their personal lives or personalities."
Others pointed out the distinction between an actor's portrayal on television and their real-life personality. "Just because they play a character on tv doesn’t mean they are like that in real life," remarked a person and someone else expressed, "I have zero respect for anyone in Hollywood anymore! They think they know everything."
Some questioned Strecker's podcasting abilities, with an individual saying, "She sounds like she doesn’t know how to host a podcast." "To be fair, he acted just as Cam would. Be prepared for the interview!" added another person.
