NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: MSNBC anchor Chris Hayes addressed the formalization of the impeachment inquiry into President Joe Biden as the events escalated on December 13, in addition to Hunter Biden not showing up for the closed-door GOP-led deposition.

In his report, Hayes directly targeted the House Republicans as he narrowed in on their “cultish devotion to the man who tried to destroy American democracy.”

In addition to this, the MSNBC anchor has also labeled the impeachment inquiry into the President as “transparently cynical.”

Chris Hayes takes on ‘extremists’ following impeachment inquiry chaos

On ‘All In with Chris Hayes’ on MSNBC, the anchor started his segment as he briefed his viewers on the impeachment inquiry into Joe Biden.

Chris Hayes said, “Good evening from New York. I am Chris. About two hours ago, the Republican-controlled House of Representatives voted to formally open an impeachment inquiry into President Joe Biden by a narrow nine-vote margin, entirely along party lines.”

He continued, “Every single Republican voter started the impeachment process over…it's not really clear. No one seemed sure what exactly the charges were, and to be clear, the bar for productive discourse out at this, historically unproductive Republican majority, is as low as it gets.”

“This is the same House Republican majority that took 15 votes just to elect a Speaker of the House. The same Republican majority who fired that guy after only a few months on the job and left the country without a speaker, second in line for the presidency, for three more weeks,” said Hayes.

Hayes’ brutal dig at the House Republicans continued as he said, “The same Republican majority constantly at risk at being torn asunder by internal strife led by extremists and political annihilists with a cultish devotion to the man who tried to destroy American democracy and is promising to do it again.”

MSNBC anchor briefly sheds light on 'MAGA movement'

After MSNBC anchor Chris Hayes shredded the House Republics in his aforementioned monologue, he spoke more about Joe Biden, in regards to the impeachment inquiry.

Hayes said, “This impeachment inquiry is as transparently cynical as anything they have done yet. They've been at this for nearly three years. From the moment President Biden was sworn in, they were waiting to impeach him. The facts can come later.”

“Here's the thing about many House Republicans that is important to understand. They are just as adrift in the conspiracy fever swamp as the most extreme portions of the MAGA movement that they represent,” said Hayes.

Hayes added, “Over the past couple of years, I think a bunch of them convinced themselves that there really was some big smoking gun that would prove that Joe Biden was guilty of grifting money from foreign governments, which I think is the charge. Again…not clear.”
