SAN FRANCISCO, CALIFORNIA: Popular YouTuber MrBeast is not impressed with Elon Musk’s suggestion to share his videos on X platform.

On December 30, the entertainer, whose original name is Jimmy Donaldson, tweeted about his new post, “I uploaded, go watch or I'll drop kick you.”

One of his fans on X commented, “Upload on this platform too,” with which Elon Musk agreed saying “Yeah.”

However, MrBeast shared the reason why he won’t upload it on the platform for the time being. “My videos cost millions to make, and even if they got a billion views on X, it wouldn't fund a fraction of it :/,' he wrote in response.

Though he hasn’t completely given up the idea, he said, “I'm down though to test stuff once monetization is really cranking!"

As per the latest figures, his most recent clip titled, ‘I Spent 7 Days In Solitary Confinement,’ was a hit with 54 million views. His current subscribers are 224 million, as per Daily Mail.

In June 2023, Musk made a similar suggestion to Donaldson, “Post to his platform too. Earnings per view should be competitive with YouTube. If not, we will adjust.”

Elon Musk's previous offer to MrBeast

There were a few funny reactions to Donaldson's response to Musk where one wrote, “He told Elon: 'You can't afford me lil bro.'' The second said, “X is not a place for video. Elon can shout as much as he can.” “Exactly. X doesn't pay well. Don't do it,” said the third.

As per social media pundits, he is estimated to be making somewhere between $2 million and $4 million per month from YouTube. In December 2023, Fox News anchor Laura Ingraham reacted to the response to advertisers departing from X, previously called Twitter, and Elon Musk’s commitment to free speech on her show ‘The Ingraham Angle.’

She supported the X boss on his claim that free speech is under attack, “Elon Musk is voicing the same frustration that millions and millions of Americans feel, that freedoms we once took for granted are under assault. | #FreedomOfSpeech @elonmusk.”

“Musk is voicing the same frustration that millions and millions of Americans feel about what they see happening to this country. I mean, they're not multibillionaires, but they see what's happening," she added.
