CHARLESTON, SOUTH CAROLINA: Actress Kathryn Dennis left 'Southern Charm' following Season 8, but her life off-screen has been equally chaotic and stressful.

According to reports, the 'Southern Charm' star Dennis met with investigators after a hit-and-run outside an elementary school, but the South Carolina Highway Patrol says it has no records of that contact.

In October 2023, a hit-and-run event happened close to an elementary school via a vehicle registered to Dennis. At the time, it was unclear if the actress was behind the wheel. Now, the victim has also come forward.

Officers 'found no records pursuant' to Kathryn Dennis' traffic stop

The admission follows Radar Online's filing of a Freedom of Information Act request to obtain all records about the events that followed Dennis' traffic stop, interrogation, and photography by a trooper who took several forensic photos of her car following the October 20 incident.

DPS FOIA manager Courtney S Wiles noted that she "found no records pursuant" to the Dennis traffic stop, per the outlet.

According to earlier reports, Dennis, 32, was the focus of the inquiry when her car carelessly raced down the street, striking Berkeley County Sheriff's Deputy Michelle Ward, who was standing outside the Whitesville Elementary School in Moncks Coroner as a crossing guard.

The October 2023 incident left the officer with injuries to her hand and foot, but she was able to obtain a partial license plate of the gray Ford Bronco, which was later linked to the unstable Bravolebrity.

Documents from the Berkeley County Sheriff's Office designated Dennis as a "suspect," but the Highway Patrol report simply names her as the vehicle's owner with the driver listed as "unknown."

Moreover, Capt Sonny Collins of the state's Department of Public Safety (DPS) remained silent when asked where Dennis was stopped and interrogated or why the car, which a witness had taken a photo of driving away, had not been confiscated as part of the inquiry.

Kathryn Dennis' alleged hit-and-run victim speaks out

The South Carolina deputy sheriff hurt in the hit-and-run incident involving Kathryn Dennis earlier told Radar Online that if she had not turned to avoid the fast-moving car, she might have died or suffered serious injuries.

School crossing guard Michelle Ward expressed relief that "her children" were not crossing the street when the 2022 Ford Bronco rashly drove by Whitesville Elementary School in Moncks Corner, South Carolina.

The Berkeley County Sheriff's Office deputy Ward admitted that when she saw the car slamming into her, she began to fear for her life.

In a telephone conversation, she said, "You got a vehicle coming at you that, the speed limit over there is 35 (mph), but you can tell this person is not doing 35 and getting hit – that hurts."

Ward explained: "The vehicle struck me on the right side. Luckily, I turned around to notice that she wasn’t stopping because otherwise, I would’ve gotten hit in the back — blindsided."

"But I turned around and saw that the vehicle wasn’t stopping and tried to get out of the way, but I wasn’t faster than the car, unfortunately," she added.

Before being almost run over in the middle of the road while defending pupils Ward lovingly refers to as "her children," she admitted that she had never watched 'Southern Charm' and had never heard of "Kathryn C Dennis."

Ward claimed that while trying to dodge the vehicle, she twisted her ankle, which caused it to sideswipe the right side of her body and slam into her right hand, which she automatically extended to protect herself.

Ward, who still has a boot on her leg, added, "Depending on how you get hit, you could hit your head on the concrete or asphalt, and that could be damaging."

"Even what they consider minor injuries – it’s major to me. I can’t do my normal job. I can’t do my extracurricular activities. There are a lot of things I can’t do. It hinders my life drastically," the deputy added in her statement.
