Nathan Land: Michigan man charged with manslaughter after allegedly fatally stabbing brother

MACOMB COUNTY, MICHIGAN: In a harrowing incident that unfolded in Lenox Township, Nathan Land, a 24-year-old was arraigned on Wednesday, January 31, for the alleged stabbing death of his 19-year-old brother.
Macomb County prosecutors contend that Nathan, a New Haven resident, was charged with one count of homicide – manslaughter after he fatally stabbed his brother once during a heated altercation inside a residence located in the 57300 block of Millstone Pond Blvd.'
Upon receiving a distress call at 10.25 pm, Macomb County deputies rushed to the scene and found a witness attempting CPR. Despite their efforts, emergency medical services later pronounced the victim dead.

Nathan now faces a serious charge of homicide - manslaughter, a felony carrying a potential 15-year sentence. During the arraignment at New Baltimore District Court, Magistrate Joseph Cozzolino set the 24-year-old's bond at $100,000 cash/surety with no 10% deposit.
As part of the conditions for release, Nathan is ordered to have no contact with the witness, wear a GPS tether, refrain from drugs, alcohol, or weapons, and stay within the state's borders.

"Our pursuit of justice is unwavering as we strive to bring solace to the grieving family and send a resounding message that violence within our homes will not be tolerated," Detroit News reported.
Nathan is scheduled to appear in court on February 8, with a preliminary exam slated for February 15.
