LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Users on the social media platform X are currently sharing their thoughts on Tinder's new $499/month subscription plan.

In September, Tinder introduced a premium subscription service called Tinder Select, but the recent launch has sparked confusion, with mixed reactions among internet users.

In a post on the platform X, the page @DailyLoud shared a screengrab of the look of Tinder Select and wrote, "Tinder has launched their $499/month subscription plan"



 

Internet users claim they will not pay for Tinder Select

A user shared a GIF and made a sarcastic comment, joking about Tinder's subscription plan and the likeliness of finding love on the app, stating, "Now you can be lonely AND broke."

Another user shared a GIF as they wrote, "Tinder waiting for subscriber."



 



 

One person declared that people are not going to pay for the new subscription plan as they shared a meme and wrote, "I speak for everyone when I say we ain’t paying for this."

A user shared a WWE GIF as they reacted to Tinder's new subscription plan and wrote, ""Spending 6k a year surely I'll get matches" Tinder." In the GIF, Seth Rollins was walking across the stage, stating, "No, no, no, no. No way. I don't think so, pal. That's not how this works."



 



 

Another user reacting to Tinder's new subscription service jokingly wrote, "You now pay this much to find love. You may eventually find someone that might not worth the money."

In response to the bewildered reactions from social media users, Tinder's Chief Product Officer, Mark Van Ryswyk, mentioned that the company conducted thorough tests and gathered feedback from the most engaged app users before developing and launching the service, according to Dexerto.

Tinder's website emphasizes the exclusivity of its 'Select' membership, offering unparalleled access to the platform's finest features. With a Tinder Select membership, individuals gain various privileges, such as the ability to send direct messages twice a week without the need for a prior match.

Such a profile would boast a prominently displayed unblurred photo and would be prioritized on the 'Likes You' grid.



 

An exclusive badge signals their access to this premium tier, and 'Select Mode' allows members to discover and be discovered by the app's most sought-after profiles, fostering more meaningful connections.

Furthermore, members enjoy early access to new features, the option to hide advertisements, and the ability to view likes received over the past week.
