Outrage as Trump's spiritual advisor Paula White reveals he sought divine counsel before presidential bid
MANHATTAN, NEW YORK: Televangelist Paula White-Cain has claimed that Donald Trump asked her for God's opinion regarding his run for the presidency.
White-Cain, who served as Trump’s spiritual advisor and led the Evangelical advisory board during his 2016 presidency, made the remarks at the Faith and Freedom Coalition’s Road to Majority conference at the Washington Hilton.

White-Cain shared that her first conversation with Trump occurred long before he considered a political career. She recounted Trump “began to repeat to me almost verbatim the three sermons ‘Value of Vision'.” At the end of their discussion, Trump told her, “You have the it factor,” to which she responded, “Oh sir, we call that the anointing,” reported Independent.
White-Cain revealed that Trump first thought about entering politics in 2011 when he expressed dissatisfaction with the direction in which the country was being led. She recalled Trump asking, “Well, what does God say?” after discussing his thoughts with her. Following a period of prayer with her friends, White-Cain informed Trump, “Sir … you’re going to be president one day.” However, she warned him about the significant personal costs he would face. “I hate the price that you’re going to pay,” she had reportedly told him.
Reflecting on her prediction, White-Cain acknowledged the "price this man, his family, and … many of us have paid." Currently, Trump is involved in several legal cases, though he denies all charges against him.
White-Cain has been a vocal defender of Trump, including decrying his recent conviction on 34 felony counts of falsifying business records. She reiterated the baseless claim that the charges were politically motivated, describing the conviction day as “a sad day for all Americans” and praying for Trump.
Netizens react to Donald Trump's divine guidance
A social media user commented, "God isn't political he gives life and takes it away, and no political party or entire world makes any real difference to his plan."
Another added, "Some people think the Ten Commandments are rules to live by. Trump considers them goals. How many can I break this week. The thought that Trump has a religious bone in his body is hilarious. You can't worship God if you think you are his equal."
One claimed, "A Senate investigation report found the church Paula White and her husband owned spent tax-exempt ministry funds one year to pay nearly $900,000 for the couple's waterfront mansion, over a million dollars in salaries to family members and paid for the Whites' private jet. Her church did not cooperate with the investigation. In 2011, Grassley issued a report outlining his committee's findings but took no additional action supposedly to Whites connections in DC squashing the investigation."
"God would never interfere in a politics. His judgement comes after death, and he endorses no candidate. Only the charlatans looking to rake in money from the masses claim his endorsement," read a comment.
"A reputable 'spiritual advisor' would never talk openly about discussions with their 'client.' Sounds like Trump found a 'spiritual advisor' on his own level," commented a user.
