Paris Hilton, though known for being the scion of the Hilton hotel empire, is not only a heiress but also a multi-talented woman. Leaving behind her wild days of youth, Paris is now a married woman and a mom-to-two while also managing her billion-dollar-worth perfume business. Here is a comprehensive look at the model and heiress from her formative years to her glamorous mom era.

1. 1996 - Teenage years

Paris Hilton demonstrated a rebellious streak during her teenage years. To fix her behavior, Paris was admitted to the Provo Canyon School in Utah. However, the school did not bring her much happiness as Paris has recalled in several instances that she and her schoolmates were subjected to mental and physical abuse. In her documentary, she called the school "the worst of the worst," and added, "They would make people take their clothes off and go in there for like 20 hours." Paris continued, "I was going to do everything in my power to be so successful that my parents could never control me again."

2. 2000 - Paris Hilton becomes the 'It-girl' in New York

Following her disruptive teenage years, Paris and her sister Nikki Hilton owned the New York social scene in 2000. As Paris reached her ultimate teenage years, she came to New York intending to embark on her modeling career. While she became the ultimate it-girl at the time, Paris later admitted in 2020, that the persona was her creation to hide from her painful past. In an interview with People, she said, “With the voice, the clothes, I basically created this entire character. I wanted to hide who I really was." In her documentary 'This is Paris', she further elaborated on her Barbie persona, saying, "I just had this plan and then created this brand and this persona and this character, and I've been stuck with her ever since," she tearfully explained. "I didn't use to be that way."

3. 2003 - Paris Hilton stars in 'The Simple Life'

Before 2003, the hotel heiress had already made a name for herself in the modeling business. But in 2003, Paris ventured into a new career as she starred in the show 'The Simple Life' with her best friend  Nicole Richie - daughter of singer Lionel Richie. Ditching their lavish lifestyles, the two multi-millionaires opted for a more rustic lifestyle as they resided on a farm in Arkansas. She later told Gay Times, "It changed my whole life since it was the first of its kind," and added, "After that show, I got to go all around the world, and it really just started my career in this business." The show truly launched Paris Hilton's showbiz career.

4. 2004 - Paris Hilton's scandal and perfume launch

In the next year, Paris' life was set upside down after she made headlines when her sex tape with ex-boyfriend Rick Salomon made the rounds of the internet. The scandal stayed with her ever since with the reality star admitting to Vanity Fair that it was “embarrassing” and "something that will hurt [her] for the rest of [her] life." However, in the same year, she also launched her first perfume, named Paris Hilton. With 25 fragrances under its repertoire, the fragrance brand has since acquired the position of a billion-dollar company.

5. 2006 - Paris Hilton releases an album

After trying her luck in reality TV, Paris expanded her artistic resume in 2006 when she released her debut music album 'Paris' in 2006. One of the album's singles. 'Stars Are Blind' peaked at No 18 on the Billboard Hot 100, and received accolades from Lady Gaga. She also ventured into acting and appeared in some cameos in 'George Lopez' and 'The OC'. In 2006, Paris - along with her friend Britney Spears - successfully promoted the concept of selfie in the world. 

6. 2012 - Paris Hilton tried her hand at DJing

At the turn of the new decade (albeit a little later), Paris Hilton tried her hand at turning the disc. In 2012, she started her career in DJing and popularized her tagline 'That's Hot'. After first closing for Jennifer Lopez to a 30,000-odd crowd, Paris slowly got her hold on the career and even became the highest-paid female DJ in the world at one time. Later, she wrote in her Instagram, reminiscing her career, “When I first decided to learn to DJ  … I simply followed my passion, my love for music, and the joy I felt being able to light up a room and share that energy with others.” She added, "Playing music and performing has always been my superpower.”

6. 2018 - Paris Hilton is LGBTQIA+ supporter

In 2018, Paris Hilton made her name as an LGBTQ+ advocate. In the same year, she told Gay Times, “I have several friends in the trans community and have heard their stories of what they went through and the hardships,” before adding, “I think that they’re so courageous and they inspire me. No community deserves to have their rights taken away from them, and the trans community shouldn’t be targeted with administrative regulations on their human lives.” She also took to her social media that year to show her support for the community.

7. 2020 - Paris Hilton releases her new documentary and debuts boyfriend

In 2020, Paris Hilton reinvented herself in public perception and emerged as a completely different woman. Leaving her club-going days behind, the heiress candidly;y shared her life in the Netflix documentary 'This Is Paris'.  In the same documentary, she revealed that the high-pitched voice that she used in 'The Simple Life' was part of an act. After several failed relationships, Paris finally found love in 2020 and started dating her current husband Carter Reum that year.

8. 2021 - Parish Hilton launched a podcast

The pandemic proved to be pretty productive for Paris as she launched her podcast 'I Am Paris' in February 2021, which she created via a partnership between iHeartMedia and her own company, London Audio. Speaking to The New York Times about her podcast, she said, "I've always been an innovator and first mover when it comes to reality TV, social, DJing, and now I really believe that voice and audio is the next frontier," and added, "It is like another form of social media. I do so many things — being a DJ, a businesswoman, a designer, and an author — so there will be a lot for me to talk about," per The List.

9. 2021 - Paris Hilton's marriage

In November 2021, Paris tied the knot with Carter Reum in a private estate in Bel-Air. Paris gave her fans a glimpse into her romance through the Peacock reality series 'Paris in Love'. In 2023, she published her memoir titled, 'Paris: The Memoir' through which she shared her side of the story.

10. 2023 - Paris Hilton welcomed children
