Plastic surgeons reveal the secret behind Gwen Stefani's unrecognizable face as she debuts new look

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Gwen Stefani made headlines after appearing on 'The Voice' with a fresh new look, leaving fans and experts speculating about the drastic changes in her appearance.

The 55-year-old singer, known for her signature platinum blonde hair and edgy style, debuted a softer, warmer blonde hairstyle with wavy tresses and bangs.

However, it wasn’t just her hairstyle that caught viewers’ attention. Her face, which appeared smoother and fuller, led to speculation that the star may have undergone cosmetic procedures, reported Daily Mail. 

 

Experts weigh in on Gwen Stefani’s drastic transformation

Gwen Stefani’s drastic transformation has become a topic of discussion among experts and fans alike.

Could it be fillers, Botox, or even a facelift? Several renowned plastic surgeons have weighed in on the possibility that Stefani’s recent appearance may be the result of aesthetic enhancements.

One of the first to weigh in on the conversation was Dr Corey Maas, a facial plastic surgeon based in San Francisco.

According to Dr Maas, Gwen Stefani’s more youthful and fuller face could be the result of dermal fillers.

Fillers, which are substances injected into the face to smooth lines, plump wrinkles, and restore volume, are commonly used to combat signs of aging. As people age, particularly from their late twenties, their faces start to lose volume.

Stefani’s smooth and youthful complexion may have been enhanced with the help of these injectable treatments.

“She’s probably had some filler,” Dr Maas told DailyMail.com.

Elaborating further on the topic, he continued, “It’s true that with the bangs, if you pull them down, they lead people to focus on the mid-face and below the eyes more, which does make the cheeks and mid-face look a bit fuller. But I also wouldn’t expect this area to be so full in someone her age.” 

 

In addition to fillers, Dr Maas speculated that Stefani may have undergone a lower facelift, also known as a mini facelift.

A lower facelift involves making small incisions around the ears and tightening the skin on the lower third of the face, a procedure commonly used to reduce sagging and wrinkles in the jawline and chin area.

He explained, “Her jawline is also really indicative of some work—a 55-year-old woman just doesn’t have a jawline like that. I think she may have had a lower facelift, because that does a really nice job of tightening the jawline and chin, and hers are nearly perfect.”

Facial plastic surgeons like Dr Michael Bassiri-Tehrani from New York City also agreed with these assessments, pointing out that Gwen Stefani’s face appears rounder and fuller in the cheeks, which supports the idea that she may have had fillers to maintain youthful plumpness.

“As we age, we tend to lose some facial fat. But we don’t see this in Gwen, so it is possible she has opted for tasteful fillers to maintain her cheeks’ plumpness,” said Dr Bassiri-Tehra

Plastic surgery expert, Dr Gary Linkov, who often analyzes celebrity transformations on his YouTube channel, suggested that Stefani may have spent a considerable amount on her face over the years, estimating the cost to be around $428,000.

He believes that her facial enhancements may include a series of procedures, such as multiple fillers, Botox, and even two brow lifts, in addition to the rumored facelift.

While there is no official confirmation from Stefani herself regarding any procedures, the noticeable differences in her appearance have fueled speculation among fans and experts.
