NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Former President Donald Trump lashed out at MSNBC host Lawrence O'Donnell upon seeing him in the courthouse on Tuesday, May 7 during his New York Stormy Daniels trial. Later, the journalist got back at Trump by recounting the "crazy face" he directed at him in the courthouse.

In a post on Truth Social, Trump wrote, “I spotted Ratings Challenged Lawrence O’Donnell, of MSDNC, in the Courthouse today. I haven’t seen him in years. He looks like shit, a real loser! DJT.”

Trump's comment followed a lengthy day in court where Daniels provided detailed testimony about her purported affair with the ex-president.

In a separate post, the former POTUS criticized NBC as "NBC FAKE NEWS," labeling it as one of the worst news organizations.

Despite this, Lawrence O'Donnell's 'The Last Word' achieved high ratings, ranking among the top 10 cable news programs with over 1.5 million viewers on average last month.

The former president's ongoing attacks on NBC and its progressive sister network, MSNBC, have been consistent, with earlier calls for a federal investigation into the network, accusing it of "treason."

On May 9, O'Donnell, who has been covering Trump's New York case from inside the courtroom for the past week, stated that Trump gave him an "intimidating" and "crazy face" after their eyes met and they locked gazes.

“When he was walking by my position at the aisle, he decided he was going to stare at me with what I’m sure he was hoping was some kind of intimidating look, but he was trying to load so much into it, anger, and hatred, that it just became a crazy look,” the MSNBC host recalled.

He continued, “It was just a crazy face, and I was just, you know, lightly smiling back at him, hoping he could read my mind, which was to — which would have been if I had a question, how stupid does it feel that your life has ended up in this room in this way?”

As per ABC News, after his day in court on May 7, Trump took a victory lap, describing it "was a very big day, a very revealing day" to reporters.

“As you see, their case is totally falling apart,” claimed the former president.

He then said, “They have nothing on books and records and even something that should bear very little relationship to the case. It’s just a disaster for the D.A., for the Soros-backed D.A. the year. It’s a disaster. This whole case is just a disaster.”
