LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Rebecca Ferguson is reflecting on the reactions she received from some of her co-stars after she famously shared during a February interview that she was brought to tears by an unnamed actor who 'screamed' at her during filming.

Appearing on ‘The Jess Cagle Show’ on SiriusXM recently, the ‘Dune: Part Two’ star shared that she was 'not expecting' the panic that her comments have created among some of her former castmates.

Rebecca Ferguson talks about her co-stars reacting to her anecdotes

During an interview with Josh Smith in February this year, the 40-year-old actress created quite a frenzy when she shared the anecdote of an 'absolute idiot' actor screaming at her that brought her to tears.

However, the ‘Mission: Impossible’ star shared in her interview with Cagle that she did not anticipate the guessing game that started regarding the identity of the actor criticized.

‘The White Queen’ star shared with Cagle in the interview that was released on Sunday, April 14, that while she was “not expecting” the reaction her comments elicited from some of her co-stars, she “kind of enjoyed the grab.”

Referring to her age, the actress added that “it doesn’t matter” anymore before noting, “I definitely think I’m much more open. I also know where my boundaries are," per The Hollywood Reporter.

The ‘Silo’ star then clarified the context of the previous interview, and explained, “The point of the interview wasn’t about finding the person — of course, people will be interested. But I was excited about the question, which was a very good question by [Josh Smith].”

“Because the point was: Is there a point in your career where you were treated in a way where you changed your decision on — this is how I formulated it in myself — where you want change, or you will not accept it? And it was such a clear moment for me working with this person,” explained the Swedish actress.

That, however, did not stop her from getting calls from some of her 'amazing co-stars' who reached out to her after the famous interview.

Ferguson shared, “But I got phone calls from amazing co-stars who I’ve worked with going, ‘You understand what you’ve done, right?!'”

“And I was like, ‘Oh my God. No, I didn’t think.’ I mean, it’s not my responsibility, to be honest. I don’t really care. You know, ‘You’re great, but my story is my story, and if you’re a good person, then don’t worry about it,'” added the ‘Doctor Sleep’ star.

As Cagle surprised the audience by adding, “The person was Meryl Steep, and everybody knows it,” Ferguson jokingly replied, “Dammit!”

Rebecca Ferguson shared her experience of working with ‘idiot co-star'

In the famous interview from February, Ferguson shared during an appearance on the ‘Reign with Josh Smith,’ “I did a film with an absolute idiot of a co-star — doesn’t matter who it is.”

Without revealing the identity, she shared, “I’m going to try not to give this away, but I remember there was a moment, and this human being was being so insecure and angry because this person couldn’t get the scenes out. And I think I was so vulnerable and uncomfortable that I got screamed at.”

Ferguson explained that  “because this person was number one on the call sheet, there was no safety net” for her.

“So no one had my back. And I would cry walking off set,” Ferguson continued before recalling, “This person would literally look at me in front of the whole crew and say, ‘You call yourself an actor? This is what I have to work with? What is this?’ And I stood there just breaking.”

She further admitted that while she felt “scared” at the unpleasantries, it also marked the first time when she stood up for herself as an artist.

She shared,  “I looked at this person, and I said, ‘You get off my set. You can F off. I’m gonna work towards a tennis ball. I never want to see you again.’”

Ferguson recalled that as the producers informed her she couldn’t behave in that way to the “number one” and emphasized the slighted thespian needed to remain on set, she set her own ground rules.

She recounted telling the producers, “The person can turn around, and I can act to the back of the head.” The person luckily did the same.

Ferguson continued,  “I remember thinking that time I was so scared. I feel it now when I’m saying it,” before adding, “But I thought, ‘It shouldn’t have to be that way.’”

Following her candid confession, she quickly clarified that the person was neither her ‘Mission: Impossible’ co-star Tom Cruise, nor her ‘Reminiscence’ co-star Hugh Jackman.

Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson also ruled himself out of the speculation after he supported Ferguson for her words. He wrote on X during that time, “Hate seeing this but love seeing her stand up to bulls***.”

He continued to praise his ‘Hercules’ co-star, saying, “Rebecca was my guardian angel sent from heaven on set. I love that woman. I’d like to find out who did this.”

Emily Blunt also denied having a gaffe with Ferguson by releasing a public statement.
