LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Rebel Wilson assumes Adele hates her as she claims in her memoir that “people would confuse” them for each other when both of them were on the “bigger” side.

The 44-year-old Australian actress has shared various aspects of her life’s journey in her upcoming memoir ‘Rebel Rising’, which is coming out on Tuesday, April 2.

In the memoir, the ‘Bridesmaids’ star chronicles her journey through a rough childhood, her fertility struggle, and weight loss journey, among other things.

The ‘Pitch Perfect’ actress shared her experience as a “plus size” actress in her memoir, which states, “Some actresses would get offended if I called them plus-size in this book, so I have to be careful with what I say.”

Referring to the 35-year-old British singer, Wilson then writes, “This is why, I think, Adele hates me," per Us Weekly.

She explains, “There was a moment when she was bigger, and some people would confuse us for one another … I am assuming, because to be fair I’ve never asked her.”

Wilson alleges she ran into the ‘Hello’ singer quite a few times but Adele would “always quickly” turn away.

“As if my fatness might rub off on her if I were near her for more than thirty seconds,” Wilson quips and adds “she didn’t like being compared to ‘Fat Amy,’” referring to her ‘Pitch Perfect’ character.

Adele has, however, not publicly addressed the claim yet.

The British songstress is not the only star to be mentioned in WIlson’s book as she recently created waves by mentioning Sacha Baron Cohen in her memoir.

Wilson alleged that her ‘Grimsby’ costar Cohen asked her to perform a lewd act when they were shooting for the film in South Africa, per People.

Rebel Wilson has addressed her issues with weight previously as well. She even claimed once that her contract with ‘Pitch Perfect’ did not allow her to shed weight.

After the franchise wrapped up in 2017, Wilson underwent her ‘Year of Health’ in 2020.

Depicting her weight loss journey, she shared in an Instagram Live in 2021, “It first started when I was looking into fertility stuff and the doctor was like, ‘Well, you’d have a much better chance if you were healthier," per Us Weekly.

She continued, “That’s kind of what started it, that if I lost some excess weight that it would give me a better chance for freezing eggs and having the eggs be a better quality. It wasn’t even really myself, it was more thinking of a future mini-me, really.”

She shares this incident in more detail in her memoir as well. The ‘Senior Year’ star recounts the fertility doctor telling her the embryo she created with a sperm donor didn't "appear strong enough" to be viable.

She writes, "I feel such sadness," and adds, "I’m so alone and I don’t know what to do," per PEOPLE.

Nevertheless, overcoming her obstacles, the Australian actress welcomed her daughter Royce Lillian in November 2022 via surrogate.

She writes, "She opens her eyes, and she looks at us," before adding, "We’re a family now."
