LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: The contestant of season one of ‘Survivor’ Sonja Christopher who was voted out first has lost her life.

The date and cause of her death are not known yet but her age was reportedly 87.

Liz Wilcox announces Sonja Christopher’s death

Liz Wilcox, who is a participant in season 46 of the reality show, tweeted about her death on X.



 

She wrote, “Today, the legend herself Sonja Christopher of Season One passed away. I had the pleasure of meeting her on Christmas.”



 

“She had so much spunk + love for Survivor and what the show brought to her life. I hope you’re singing + playing your heart out somewhere beautiful, Sonja,” Wilcox shared.

She also noted that “no flowers, but donations may be sent to Mt Diablo Unitarian Universalist Church (Walnut Creek, CA), the Cancer Support Community of the San Francisco Bay Area, or the Sjogren’s Foundation.”

Many people paid tribute to Christopher as a user tweeted, “You met her?! Incredible 🤩 RIP angel.”



 

The second user shared, “Dude I’m sad. Thank you for posting this, Liz.”



 

The third user posted, “I’m sorry she’s gone. Lucky you got to meet her!”



 

The fourth user stated, “Rest in peace, Sonja.”



 

“That is so awesome you got the chance to meet her,” a fifth user said.



 

A sixth one added, “So glad that you had the opportunity to meet her! Rest in peace to a legend. I think it’s safe to say Sonja Christopher will never be forgotten.”

Some people even took to Facebook to remember her.

“RIP to Sonja Christopher. She was the 1st person ever voted out of Survivor, and the 2nd Survivor I ever met. Such a wonderful woman, so nice and friendly to everyone.  Glad we got to speak this spring when she was trying to sell her Tagi Buff. I think I'll watch the 1st episode when I get home later tonight. More and more players and friends will keep passing. Thank you for the memories,” a person posted.

A second one wrote, “My condolences to her family and friends.”

“I remember her, lovely lady. Rest in peace,” a comment read.
