RNC 2024 Worst Dressed: Laura Trump and Amber Rose among attendees whose style fell flat
Worst dressed at 2024 Republican National Convention: From Amber Rose to Marjorie Taylor Greene
The 2024 Republican National Convention (RNC) has begun, and while political discourse takes center stage, the fashion choices of attendees are attracting a lot of attention. Against the backdrop of political fervor, some individuals have managed to miss the mark with their sartorial choices. From high-profile politicians to notable celebrities, here’s a rundown of the most questionable fashion choices seen at this year’s RNC.
1. Marjorie Taylor Greene
Marjorie Taylor Greene's decision to spice up the convention with a bright red dress was a bold move. Unfortunately, her look seemed more like something you'd see at a high school dance than a major political event. The tight dress with spaghetti straps and a huge floral detail was reminiscent of Carrie Bradshaw's style making the outfit inappropriate for the the event.
2. Alina Habba
Donald Trump's lawyer, Alina Habba, made a fashion faux pas on the first day of the convention. Her plain cream-colored, tea-length dress with a tight neckline was super dull. The simple look and accessories didn't do anything to highlight her good looks or make her stand out at the big event.
3. Lara Trump
For Lara Trump, who is married to Eric Trump and chairs the RNC, her appearance was significant. Sadly, her blue top with a high neck didn't really impress. On her podcast, 'The Right View,' she talked about how hard it was to pick out four outfits for the convention, but the one she picked was pretty disappointing.
4. Kimberly Guilfoyle
Kimberly Guilfoyle, the fiancee of Donald Trump Jr, is no stranger to bold fashion choices. Her white dress on the first night of the RNC was no exception. The dress had a body-hugging silhouette with a large ruffle over the arms and a mock neckline. Even though it wasn't her absolute worst outfit, it just didn't look right and seemed a bit out of place.
5. Usha Vance
Usha Vance, the wife of vice presidential candidate JD Vance, opted for a simple beige dress that did little to mark the significance of the event. The muted color and basic look made it hard for her to be noticed.
6. Kristi Noem
South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem went for a white suit and a red top, which was perfect for the patriotic vibe of the event. But, all the accessories she wore made her outfit look a bit too much. Lighter makeup, less jewelry and a ponytail up could have transformed her outfit from overwhelming to elegant.
7. John Stanford
John Stanford, who sang the national anthem on the first night, showed up in a totally mismatched outfit that just didn't click. His blue jacket didn't go well with the cozy brown turtleneck sweater he was wearing underneath. Plus, the black pants and red pin just made the whole look even more chaotic.
8. Amber Rose
Amber Rose's presence at the RNC caught many off guard, and her outfit selection for the soundcheck was equally unexpected. Opting for a T-shirt featuring Donald Trump's mugshot was a questionable move. Although her black, long-sleeved turtleneck dress was suitable for her real speech, the T-shirt stands out as a glaring fashion mistake.
9. Blake Marnell
Political activist Blake Marnell, known as 'Brick Suit Guy,' stayed true to his signature look. His suit, designed to resemble the wall Trump promised to build, has become his trademark. However, despite its brand recognition, the suit remains a sartorial misstep. Its loud and literal representation makes it more of a costume than a serious outfit for a political convention.
