Highlighting the sense of safety she feels with Blanco, Gomez described her relationship as "lovely."

"Without getting into too much detail, I think it's just really important to meet someone who respects you," said the 'Boyfriend' singer.

"And I think it's really nice to also lean on someone who understands the world that I live in. But I'd have to say overall it's the safest that I feel and it's been really lovely and I've only grown through it, so it's awesome," she added.

Gomez went on to talk about the inspiration behind her new song as she revealed the latest single was influenced by her time spent in Paris in 2023, according to ET.

"The idea is that I was inspired a lot by living in Paris, that for two months I had to work there and I loved just the quality of life and how romantic it felt," the singer explained.

"And then to kind of feel really happy in my life and actually mean it is so, it’s just like you can tell in my video, I’m just smiling the whole time. It’s such a good feeling," she added.

The music video for 'Love On' was directed by Greh Ohrel, a French director.

'Interscope', the track, is an "anthemic pop song" which according to Gomez's music label was inspired by the time Gomez had spent in Paris in 2023.

Throughout the song's lyrics, the artist highlights the romance of the "Parisian lifestyle and the thrill of sharing a new love."

Ahead of the release of her single, Gomez took to Instagram to share pictures from her time in France which included a snapshot of herself modeling with the iconic Eiffel Tower in the background.
