BROWARD COUNTY, FLORIDA: Florida woman, Shacoria Pulliam, 30, was arrested after police say she beat a poodle to death with a frying pan. 

Pulliam who is from Broward County, allegedly lashed out at a small poodle in at least several acts of violence, culminating in her striking the dog.

The canine was later found in a nearby trash can, Law&Crime reports.

Shacoria Pulliam was arrested on Saturday, January 7, and was charged with a third-degree felony for causing cruel death, pain and suffering to an animal after she allegedly beat her dog to death in August 2023, according to Broward County Sheriff’s Office booking records.

On August 28, the witness, who was living with Pulliam, said he watched her repeatedly punch her dog whose name was Snowball, in the head and body after "yelling and screaming" at the poodle.

He stopped the attack by putting Snowball, a "small mixed poodle breed," back in its crate, reports Miami's Local 10 News

The arrest report states that later that evening, the witness said he saw the suspect hitting the dog with a frying pan before kicking the dog out of the house later that evening, reports USA Today.

On September 1, the witness found the poodle's decomposed body in a trashcan near their apartment.

According to USA Today, a necropsy determined the dog's cause of death to be blunt force trauma.

Pulliam was arrested on January 7 and is now charged with a third-degree felony for the death of Snowball.

Her case status is pending, according to the arrest record. She is currently being held in the Paul Rein Detention Facility and her bond is set to $25,000, according to Broward Sheriff's Office records.
