Tierra Horn's body was found near Buffalo Bayou

Police in Houston were searching an area close to Buffalo Bayou at 1900 Nance Street when they discovered Tierra Horn's body At 5.40 pm on January 5.

Her neck compression was the cause of death, and a homicide was the mode of death, according to an autopsy.

Details regarding the reason behind the killing were reported by Houston NBC affiliate KPRC, citing court documents.

Horn's sister Rokeisha Calton admitted that she is haunted by her sister's death.

She said, “I would say the hardest part for me is, I just been thinking like what did she last eat, what were her thoughts when she was being killed, did she yell for help. You know? Basically, just like what were her last moments. We are just trying to make sense of it all.”

When did Tierra Horn meet Shania Turner?

Calton told Houston FOX affiliate KRIV, her sister had met the suspect after their mother passed away in 2021.

"When she met this particular person we’re talking about, she just got off track," Calton said to the publication.

Although she kept it a secret, she claimed the relationship was violent and that she frequently noticed wounds on her sister's face.

Before the suspect's identity was made public, Calton was interviewed by Houston's ABC affiliate KTRK, who referred to the perpetrator as "A devil. A person who doesn’t have a heart. A person who doesn’t care about life. A monster.”

Turner was scheduled to appear in the Harris County Jail on Thursday. It's unclear if she has legal representation.
