Sharon Osbourne disagrees with husband Ozzy over marijuana use, says it turns users 'into blobs'
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Sharon Osbourne has taken a stand against marijuana use even as husband Ozzy Osbourne believes it 'should be legalized everywehere'.
She was having a conversation about the substance with her son and husband during a new episode of ‘The Osbournes’ podcast when Ozzy said, “I think it should be legalized everywhere,” OK! Magazine reported.
The 75-year-old continued, “I will say this, it definitely is a gateway drug... I would sooner have people smoke marijuana than smoke tobacco.”
“Tobacco, without any second thought, is the most addictive thing I ever put in my body,” the singer added.
‘Marijuana is stuff that makes you into a blob,’ says Sharon Osbourne
But his wife was completely of the opposite view.
The 71-year-old said, “Marijuana is stuff that makes you into a blob and you sit there all day, you lose any incentive to do anything and I think it sucks.”
Their son Jack, however, noted, “I think it should be legalized but I think people need to get honest about what marijuana actually does.”
Marijuana ‘can do horrible things for people’
He further stated, “The last 20 years there’s been such a push to legalize it medically and recreationally and they basically treat it like it’s the wonder drug and the cure-all for everything… which is not true.

“It is amazing and it does do wonders for people with certain ailments and their bodies if they have the right kind of makeup, it can do amazing things. It can also do horrible things for people,” the 38-year-old said, to which his father, who has struggled with addiction, added, “Alcohol can, tobacco can.”
Sharon ‘was terrified’ for Ozzy
This comes after Sharon, Ozzy, and Jack opened up about alcoholism and addiction with Variety in 2021.
Speaking of her fear of losing the ‘Bark at the Moon’ singer, she said, “I was terrified that he was going to get sick in the night, or fall over, hit his head.

“I would always make sure that there was somebody there, checking on him through the night when he was on the road without me. But it was always in the front of my mind.”
They also discussed about getting help while being in public eye.
Jack shared, “We’re on ‘The Osbournes’ in the middle of whatever season we were doing and I decided to go into treatment, and it becomes this very public thing at that point.”
The English media personality continued, “And I just found it incredibly invasive and, morally, really inappropriate. I was 17 years old.”

His famous father Ozzy then added, “The thing is, people call it a disease, but if you had cancer, people wouldn’t climb over trees and take a photo of you in your bed. Yet they do when you’re in rehab.”
