She appeared on 'PBD Podcasts' in an episode that aired on Thursday, January 4, where she joined host Patrick Bet-David, along with Adam Sosnick and Vincent Oshana to speak on a variety of subjects ranging from Trump’s removal from state primary ballots, his pick for Vice President for the upcoming elections, and his strategy upon re-election to the White House among others.

What did Attorney Alina Habba say about Special Counsel Jack Smith?

In the podcast episode, Habba opined on Special Counsel Jack Smith and his prosecutors, saying, “They love having pressers. They love having press conferences."

"Jack Smith, they love having press conferences, getting in front, having their moment. It's almost narcissistic,” she added.

On the same day, Trump’s legal representatives urged that special counsel Jack Smith's legal team be held in contempt for their actions, which they claim violated a judge's order issued last month, per Associated Press.

The order mandated that the case be temporarily put on hold.

The Republican presidential frontrunner’s lawyers, cited "outrageous conduct," and have requested US District Judge Tanya Chutkan in Washington, DC, to consider holding Smith and two of his prosecutors in contempt.

This is due to the prosecutors handing over thousands of pages of evidence and an exhibit list while the case was paused, as well as filing a motion over a week later that, according to the former President's legal team, "teems with partisan rhetoric" and "false claims," advancing the 2020 election interference case against their client.

Habba also appeared on Newsmax last month and said Smith's motion was a "due process violation" in the "form of a gag order" and that "Jack Smith is running scared because he has no case."

In the historic lawsuit accusing Trump of plotting to interfere in the 2020 presidential election, which he lost to Democrat Joe Biden, the prosecutor and defense attorneys' simmering conflict is exposed by the contempt motion.

It also demonstrates the sharp contrast between Trump's attempts to postpone the prosecution until after the Republican primary in November 2024, and the Smith team's determination to move forward with the case in preparation for a March 4 trial date.

Internet holds up mirror to Donald Trump's attorney Alina Habba

People on X (formerly Twitter) dismissed Trump's attorney Alina Habba's claims that special counsel Jack Smith and his team of prosecutors are 'almost narcissistic'.

One X user remarked: "She's talking about Trump and herself."

"Aren’t self-fulfilling prophecies the best?" another user quipped.

"What pressers, Alina?" another user asked.

One user wrote, "She certainly knows lots about narcissists she represents the biggest one and talking about Press Conferences that’s her specialty"

Another X user said: "Isn't she projecting, again?! My god."

Finally, one user remarked: "After spending hours on her makeup and just the right showy outfit for her 468th presser, Alina Habba accuses Jack Smith of having "a love of pressers." Every accusation is an admission. The Trump is strong in this one."
