Five individuals were tragically crushed when they leaned out of an SUV during a 'street takeover' at a strip mall in Colorado Springs, while the driver was performing donuts.

The incident took place shortly after 10:15 pm on Saturday in the parking area of The Market at Spring Creek, located in the southeastern part of Colorado Springs.

Upon arrival at the scene, the police discovered several passengers with severe injuries. They were immediately transported to a local hospital, but their current conditions remain undisclosed.

Wentling was reportedly arrested for reckless driving and was jailed on Sunday, December 17. She has since been released on bail, as reported by KKTV.

Colorado Springs 'street takeover' video goes viral

An onlooker's video reveals an SUV reversing rapidly, with individuals hanging out of the windows and sunroof.

The vehicle then executes a swift turn, causing it to skid and overturn. Two individuals on the right side are abruptly thrown to the ground, seemingly pinned under the SUV's full weight, while the remaining three are ejected from the windows.

The SUV completes a full roll before people rush to assist those who are hanging out of the vehicle.

As the bystanders help those trapped inside, the video shifts to a different angle, revealing the underside of the car.

The lights flicker intermittently as people try to overturn the vehicle, but the person filming advises, "There's someone on the other side. Don't flip it, don't flip it!"

The car's horn sounds as another person notes, "It's leaking, that s*** leaking."

What is the condition of the people?

Onlookers hurried to assist those trapped in the overturned vehicle. The driver, identified as Marisol Wentling, was arrested for reckless driving and sustained minor injuries.

"Lift it, lift it, lift, it," one individual implores. "Push up," another instructs. A scream can be heard in the background just as the video concludes.

There have been no updates regarding the condition of the passengers. The police have stated that the incident is still under investigation and have appealed for anyone with additional information to step forward.
