'Summer House' star Sam Feher opens up on decision to end relationship with Kory Keefer

NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Sam Feher has opened up about her breakup with Kory Keefer, whom she dated for more than a year after meeting on 'Summer House.'

The reality star said that she ended the relationship because Kory didn’t love her back and she was the one who pulled the plug during season 3.

Sam Feher had a hard time getting Kory Keefer to say the three words that she longed to hear: “I love you."

In a candid interview on the 'Not Skinny But Not Fat' podcast, Sam shared how Kory’s lack of emotional expression led to their split.

“I had said [‘I love you’] to him and he never said it to me. He didn’t say it back when I said it to him and he then never said it for the rest of the relationship and that was a big problem for me,” she said.

Sam realized that she deserved better and decided to end things with Kory. “I was like, ‘I think I need to get out … it’s becoming clear,'” she recalled. “I didn’t break up with him because I don’t love him, I broke up with him because he doesn’t love me.”

How 'Winter House' drama affected their relationship

Sam also revealed that their relationship was strained by the drama that unfolded in 'Winter House' Season 3, which aired late last year.

She expressed feeling deceived by Kory and certain co-stars, accusing them of making advances on him during the show.

“What took a toll was watching it back and finding out that I had been lied to by so many people," she stated.

"There are lies that are genuine, straight-up lies – like Malia saying, ‘I never wanted to hook up with Kory’ — and then there are lies by omission,” Sam said on the podcast as US Weekly reported.

Sam asserted that Kory failed to alert her about advances made by both Malia White and Jordan Emanuel during their time on 'Winter House.'

“When I ended it, he was shocked,” she added, confirming that she pulled the plug on their relationship before the reunion aired in December 2023.

“He was, I think, floored that I was actually leaving. … The trigger was, he texted like five or six days before Christmas, like, ‘Hey I just realized Christmas and New Year’s are coming up, what are we doing?’" Sam continued.

"If you wanted to spend that time with me, you would have texted me before then. … It was a really hard moment for me because I’ve always had to spend a holiday like a Christmas with my family’s boyfriend.”

Kory and Sam started dating in the summer of 2022, after meeting on Summer House. They kept their relationship casual for a while until they made it official in April 2023.
