NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: ‘The View’ hosts reacted to the latest news surrounding President Joe Biden, and his son Hunter Biden.

On Wednesday, December 13, the House Republicans formalized the impeachment inquiry into the President, and Hunter was present at the Capitol but was absent at the GOP-led deposition.

As ‘The View’ panel discussed the aforementioned matters, moderator and host Whoopi Goldberg came to Hunter’s defense after a comment made by co-host and former Trump aide, Alyssa Farah Griffin.

‘The View’ hosts discuss ‘public enemy number one’ Hunter Biden

Whoopi Goldberg introduced Hunter Biden and how he ‘defended attacks on his family’ to her co-hosts and said, “Yesterday, the House Republicans’…poor things, public enemy number one Hunter Biden, spoke out to defend the attacks on his family and make his case about testifying in public rather than behind closed doors. Take a look.”

‘The View’ then played out Hunter’s statement at Washington, DC, after which Goldberg moved on to the second topic in hand, the impeachment inquiry into Joe Biden.

Goldberg said, “So when the House Republicans were asked to explain exactly why they were voting to start an impeachment inquiry into the president, they just seemed to have a hard time with this. Take a look.”

In the clip, the House Republicans were asked to explain the “crime” they were investigating, about the President, to which the response was, “Once I get time, I will explain what we're looking at.”

After the clip ended, there was laughter in the live audience as well as the co-hosts on ‘The View,’ and Goldberg said, “Once you get the time? Did you have five years to check out what you were going…Listen, you can say a lot about the Democrats, but they knew what they were going in for.”

Alyssa Farah Griffin drags in Jim Jordan’s Jan 6 subpoena

As the segment went on, Alyssa Farah Griffin shared her take on Hunter Biden’s absence at the deposition, “I personally think Hunter Biden should have complied with the Congressional subpoena, and I also think Jim Jordan, Scott Perry, Mo Brooks, Kevin McCarthy…”

At this point, Goldberg jokingly asked Griffin to repeat herself and Griffin said, “I also think Jim Jordan, Scott Perry, Mo Brooks, and others subpoenaed in the January 6th investigation should have complied with congressional subpoenas and they created this precedent that allows him to blow it off.”

Goldberg interrupted Griffin as she backed Hunter and said, “He didn't blow it off. He says he wants to do it in public because he is concerned.”
