LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Jimmy Kimmel, known for his comedic takes on current events, took a satirical jab at the recently sold-out digital trading card collection launched by Donald Trump during his late-night show.

The ex-POTUS unveiled the cards on his Truth Social account owing to the success of his previous batch of similar trading cards, the first of which he introduced in December 2022.

Notably, the featured mugshot was taken in August after he surrendered at the Fulton County Jail in Georgia in connection to District Attorney Fani Wills' case against the ex-POTUS relating to efforts to overturn the 2020 election.

Jimmy Kimmel addresses Donald Trump selling 'mugshot edition' digital trading cards

Kimmel began the segment by showing a video of Trump promoting his new "mugshot edition" digital trading cards.

Subsequently, he commented, "The cards cost $99 each, if you buy them all, all 47 of them, for the low, low price of $4,653 plus tax, you'll get a postage stamp-sized piece of the suit that he wore on the day he was arrested for the fourth time, and he's calling it the most historically significant artifact in the United States history."

"There are only 13 original copies of the Constitution and only who knows how many fabric swatches from a triple XL fat guy suit," joked Kimmel.

As Trump was heard saying, "I wish I looked as good as I do on those cards. They give me muscles where believe me, I don't have them," Kimmel mockingly retorted, "We believe you."

He added, "What is going on? Our former pres, this genius just reinvented Garbage Pail Kids."

Notably, Garbage Pail Kids were sticker trading cards produced and launched by the Topps Company in 1985 as a parody of the Cabbage Patch Kids dolls. It is said to have been ideated by cartoonist Art Spiegelman.

At the end of his promotional video, Trump said, "Have a good life," and Kimmel retorted, "We're trying you won't let us. He is the most shameless person in the history of the world."

Then, the late-night show host quipped, "Probably by the summer you'll be able to buy his adult diapers out of a vending machine."

Kimmel proceeded to make fun of the website where Trump's trading cards are sold and focused on the quote, "The people that are buying these Trump Digital Trading Cards are (new) friends of mine, more than anything else."

He also pointed out the people who got to meet the ex-POTUS at his Mar-a-Lago property after buying the cards and made fun of the reviews left by them as well as took a dig at the former President's second son, Eric.

Donald Trump's 'mugshot edition' trading cards draw ridicule and skepticism from Jimmy Kimmel's fans

Soon after Jimmy Kimmel's monologue regarding Trump's "mugshot edition" trading cards was uploaded on YouTube, the late-night show host fans also slammed the ex-POTUS over his latest launch.

One wrote, "Mugshot 45: “Only the mob pleads the Fifth”. Mugshot 45 in court: Pleads the Fifth 400 times," while another added, "Trump's NFT's have LOST 95% of their value."

"Who is buying $4700 worth of digital Trump cards? Especially when you can just screenshot them, or just save the picture," questioned a viewer.

Someone else quipped, "Republicans are either too busy getting indicted, pleading guilty or tearing each other apart. I love it."
