WASHINGTON, DC: As former president Donald Trump threatened to create a 'bloodbath' in the economy if he lost the November presidential election, the Biden campaign accused his opponent of seeking "another January 6," according to the Independent.

"Now, if I don't get elected... it's going to be a bloodbath for the country," former President Trump warned the audience during a speech in Ohio on Saturday, March 16, in support of Republican Senate candidate Bernie Moreno.

The Biden-Harris team responded by declaring in a statement that Trump, "wants another January 6, but the American people are going to give him another electoral defeat this November because they continue to reject his extremism, his affection for violence, and his thirst for revenge."

They added, "This is who Donald Trump is: a loser who gets beat by over 7 million votes and then, instead of appealing to a wider mainstream audience, doubles down on his threats of political violence."

Trump remarked while threatening to impose a '100% tariff' on automobiles built abroad. At the gathering, Trump declared, "You're not going to be able to sell those guys if I get elected."

"Now, if I don’t get elected, it’s going to be a bloodbath for the whole – that’s gonna be the least of it. It’s going to be a bloodbath for the country. That’ll be the least of it," Trump added.

The 'bloodbath' remark was not connected to violence, according to Trump campaign spokesperson Steven Cheung, who clarified to the Washington Post that the 2024 GOP front-runner was referring to automobiles manufactured outside of the US.

He said, "If you actually watch and listen to the section, he was talking about the auto industry and tariffs. Biden’s policies will create an economic bloodbath for the auto industry and auto workers."

Additionally, Trump intensified his criticism of unauthorized immigrants during the rally stating, "I don’t know if you call them people. In some cases, they’re not people, in my opinion. But I’m not allowed to say that because the radical left says that’s a terrible thing to say."
