LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Tom Cruise is reportedly worried about fixing his eye bags with the help of surgery after he reportedly had a terrible experience with getting cheek fillers, an insider shared with In Touch Weekly on Monday, October 28.

One of the most bankable stars in Hollywood, Cruise is apparently self-obsessed and is open to embracing bizarre freezing rituals to maintain his youthful looks at the age of 62, shared the publication.



 

Why is Tom Cruise wary of cosmetic surgery?

According to the source, Tom Cruise if afraid of turning into a caricature of his former self in case a cosmetic surgery he avails does not go according to plan.

"He hates the idea of going under the knife because he’s terrified that it could leave him looking like a caricature of himself, he’s seen so much bad plastic surgery in his time," they shared.

"Don’t forget he had that chipmunk cheek nightmare when he got talked into getting filler in his face and it took months to go down, he was humiliated," continued the source.

"But he's tried every possible non-invasive procedure to get rid of his under-eye bags and nothing has really helped.”



 

"It's a nightmare because his face is his moneymaker. He needs to look good on camera. Everyone is telling him to bite the bullet and just get them fixed. It’s a quick surgery and pretty well everyone these days does it, but Tom is still holding out.”

“He’s frantically looking into other, less invasive ways of fixing his under-eye bags. He spends a fortune on serums and topical treatments, and he’s always trying out the latest gadgets but so far nothing is working and he’s fixated on it,” they added.

Tom Cruise takes up cryotherapy to preserve his youthful looks

'Mission Impossible' star Tom Cruise has reportedly resorted to cryotherapy in an effort to extend his youth. The procedure involves Cruise immersing himself in near-freezing water for a few minutes at a time and this is believed to reduce inflammation, tighten skin, support fat loss, and fight chronic disease.

The habit has caused concern among people close to the actor.

“Biohacking is one of Tom’s big passions,” shared a source on the subject. He swears that cold exposure is the fountain of youth, and thinks people are living in the dark ages if they don’t embrace the latest methods for increasing longevity.”

"He's been into ice baths for a number of years, but he’s now stepped it up and gotten a cryotherapy chamber for his home so that he can literally freeze himself every day as a way to boost his metabolism and slow down the aging process. He’s convinced that it gives him an edge, and says it’s better than drinking ten cups of coffee in the morning.”

A third source told In Touch Weekly, "The reality is that his skin’s starting to sag a lot more and his limbs are starting to creak. It’s a declining situation that he refuses to accept.”
