‘Took time to mourn and grieve’: Lindsay Hubbard opens up about handling split with ex-fiance Carl Radke

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Many fans were shocked to learn of Lindsay Hubbard and Carl Radke's separation, but the 'Summer House' actress is proud of herself for how she handled the previous year.

With her new bachelorette apartment in Nashville and her partnership with 'Straight Talk Wireless,' the 'Summer House' star is embracing a new chapter in her life and regaining her power following her split with her ex-fiance Radke.

Lindsay Hubbard is proud of how she handled 'breakup conversation'

In an exclusive interview with OK! Magazine, Hubbard addressed her recovery from heartbreak, her relationship with her co-stars on the popular Bravo series, and her future goals.

"I'm really proud of how I handled myself during the breakup conversation, which you guys will see when that episode airs this season," said Hubbard as she reflected on the unsettling event.

"But also, I'm proud of how I personally handled the breakup."

The Bravo reality star continued: "I took the time to mourn and grieve at my pace, and then I went on my bachelorette trip to the Bahamas with the girls, which gave me a lot of strength and confidence to keep putting one foot in front of the other."

"I'm pushing forward and surrounding myself with positivity and the things that bring me joy and happiness, but I'm also really proud of just focusing on projects that I have wanted to accomplish for my own individual success that I put on hold," she added.

Hubbard is intent on living up to her reputation as a multihyphenate, but she has one particular area of excitement. "Adding homeowner to one of those hyphens is really exciting," she continued.

She said: "It's the first home I've ever bought. It's a rental property so big groups can go to Nashville, rent my house and have the best time at Hub House Nashville."

When asked if she would ever invite the 'Summer House' crew to her new house, Hubbard revealed: "Coming off of the heels of last season which was not as fun for me, I would love to do a girls trip down to Nashville."

The former PR executive went on to say: "I was so focused on my relationship and on planning a wedding. Really anything that Carl needed in the relationship and for our future."

"It's really nice to be able to focus on the things that I find to be individual successes. I'm proud of that."

'Summer House' Season 8 hints at impending split

In August 2023, Us Weekly confirmed that Carl Radke, 39, broke off his engagement to Lindsay Hubbard, one year after he proposed.

Later, Lindsay, 37, told the outlet that she was "completely blindsided" by the split and that Radke "blew up my entire life."

Now, Us Weekly is dissecting all the indications from 'Summer House' Season 8 that suggested Radke and Hubbard's relationship was impending termination.

Radke and Hubbard announced during the Season 8 premiere on February 22 that they will be celebrating the 4th of July at the White House instead of the Hamptons. Despite their seeming happiness, Hubbard admitted that she was too busy organizing their wedding by herself.

Hubbard and Radke never shied away from PDA during their relationship, which developed romantically in the fall of 2021.

To the annoyance of their housemates, they were also infamous for calling each other "babe" whenever they could.

In early July 2023, during the filming of Episode 2, Radke made a joke about their nicknames and said, "I’m not going to say ‘babe’ this summer. I’m going to say ‘dude'," to which Hubbard exhaled deeply in exasperation.

Hubbard brought up another concern she had about Radke's unemployment during Episode 3.

She explained to the cameras that Radke had been unemployed from November 2022 until the summer 2023, saying, "Since Carl quit 'Loverboy' last November, we have been trying to figure out what he’s into."
