Top COA evidence on Joe Biden's involvement in son Hunter's schemes as impeachment inquiry approved
Top evidence released by COA about President Joe Biden's involvement in son Hunter's schemes
WASHINGTON, DC: In a shocking turn of events, the House has voted to formally authorize the impeachment inquiry into President Joe Biden, a move that could give Republicans more legal firepower to investigate his family's business dealings. On Wednesday, December 13, the House approved a resolution allowing the investigation by a party-line vote of 221 to 212. The approval of the impeachment inquiry has caused chaos in the House, with Democrats claiming that there is no evidence against the Bidens. But, the Committee on Oversight and Accountability has revealed a slew of evidence showing that Biden was involved in “his family’s influence peddling schemes, including while he served as Vice President.” Here are 10 shreds of evidence on Biden's involvement in son Hunter's schemes:
Devon Archer’s testimony
In July 2023, Devon Archer, a former business associate of the Bidens, detailed how the 81-year-old POTUS served as "The Brand" and was used to provide "signals" of influence, authority, and wealth to the Biden family from overseas sources. Archer alone was aware of at least twenty instances in which then-vice president Biden conversed over the phone with Hunter’s foreign business associates. According to NBC News, he told lawmakers that Hunter repeatedly used his father to protect Ukrainian energy firm Burisma "so people would be intimidated to mess with them" legally and politically.
Joe Biden dined with son Hunter’s foreign business associates
When former House Speaker Kevin McCarthy ordered an inquiry into Biden’s impeachment, he claimed that "eyewitnesses have testified the president joined on multiple phone calls and had multiple interactions – dinners, resulted in cars and millions of dollars into his son's and his son's business partners.” Additionally, Archer provided testimony regarding the two dinners that Joe Biden attended. The first was "a birthday dinner" with Hunter, Joe Biden and some foreign businesspeople. "I don't remember the conversation. I just remember that [Joe Biden] came to dinner, and we ate and kind of talked about the world, I guess, and the weather, and then everybody left," Archer said. The second dinner involved Joe Biden, Hunter, one of Hunter's Burisma colleagues, a Greek Orthodox priest, and someone from the World Food Programme, according to ABC News.
Joe Biden’s dinner with Burisma executive
In April 2015, the then-vice president had dinner with several of Hunter Biden's international business associates, including Vadym Pozharsky, the executive from Ukrainian energy company Burisma. At that time, Burisma was subjected to an investigation by Ukrainian Prosecutor General Viktor Shokin for corruption.
Joe Biden’s dinners and UN positions
In 2015, then-vice president Joe Biden hosted Hunter Biden, Devon Archer, and other business associates at the official residence of the Vice President. The appointment to the UN's highest position was the subject of discussion. Attending both dinners at Cafe Milano was the representative from Kazakhstan's government who was interested in the UN post. Around that same time, Biden had coffee with Hunter Biden’s Chinese business associate Jonathan Li of BHR in Beijing and wrote a college letter of recommendation for his daughter, according to COA.
Joe Biden allegedly used pseudonyms in emails
Emails that were recovered from Hunter's abandoned laptop and previously released by the Archives show that Biden used several private email addresses to transmit, receive, and occasionally forward official correspondence while serving as Barack Obama's vice president. One of the pseudonyms the House Oversight Committee thinks Biden used for his personal email accounts is "Robert L Peters". The committee also uncovered two further names that the US president used -- "Robin Ware" and "JRB Ware”. Using the pseudonym “Robert L Peters”, Biden was informed by his staff of a call in 2016 with President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko.
James Gilliar’s controversial email
Hunter Biden and other associates received an email in May 2017 from James Gilliar, a Biden family associate, outlining the formal terms of their profit-sharing arrangement from their agreement with CEFC, an energy corporation associated with the Chinese Communist Party. In the email, Gilliar indicated Joe Biden would receive 10 percent, which has been confirmed by former Biden family associate Tony Bobulinski. Around the same time, Gillar warned Bobulinski to not use Biden’s name, saying, “Don’t mention Joe being involved, it’s only when u are face to face[.] I know u know that but they are paranoid[.]”
Hunter Biden confirms dad Joe is his business partner
Hunter Biden stated in an email dated September 21, 2017, that Joe Biden is his business partner and offered the President's mobile phone to the receiver in case they needed more verification. Additionally, emails reveal that Biden, Hunter, and CEFC officials would all have offices under the Hudson West/CEFC/Biden Foundation umbrella.
Hunter used Biden’s name to threaten Chinese business associates
Hunter threatened Chinese business associates on July 30, 2017, and demanded money from them, saying the President was sitting next to him. “If I get a call or text from anyone involved in this other than you….I will make certain that between the man sitting next to me and every person he knows and my ability to forever hold a grudge you will regret not following my direction,” he said in one of his texts. In another message, Hunter claimed, “The Biden’s are the best I know at doing exactly what the Chairman wants from this partnership[.] Please let’s not quibble over peanuts.”
President allowed Hunter to use Air Force Two
While serving as vice president, Joe Biden permitted his son to accompany him on Air Force Two when he conducted international courtships. Hunter accompanied his father to at least fifteen nations, where he marketed "The Brand" in order to enrich the Biden family.
Biden’s video call with Hunter and Mexican business partners
According to a report, Hunter Biden set up a video conference with his father and business associates in Mexico in October 2015. The following month, then-vice-president Joe Biden invited Jeff Cooper, a Biden associate, and Mexican business partners to his official house.
