FORREST CITY, ARKANSAS: A person of interest has been apprehended in connection to the woman found dead in Arkansas.

Providing context, the body of a woman was discovered concealed in an abandoned plastic container along a rural road on February 20.

The victim was subsequently identified by the police as Troy Alexandra Strope, aged 42. Further details concerning the deceased victim have emerged as the investigation progresses.

What did Sheriff Bobby May report?

Authorities reportedly searched a residence in Forrest City, uncovering forensic evidence and identifying a potential person of interest, although investigators have refrained from publicly discussing any suspects.

On February 28, the sheriff said they have someone they are interested in for the Troy Strope case as per WREG. They searched a house on West Buford Street.

St Francis County Sheriff Bobby May said, “The information we received through our investigation is a possibility she was murdered in that house, a possibility."

During the search, they found possible evidence of Strope’s murder.

“We got what was ample,” he said. “It doesn’t take but a speck. It doesn’t take much but we think we got ample forensics.”

He didn’t say what they took from the house but added, “We think possibly some blood in the residence.”

Two brothers live at the Buford Street house. One of them got arrested recently for drugs, but not because of the search.

The other person there wasn’t arrested. Sheriff May said, “We certainly haven’t talked to any eyewitnesses."

Sheriff May knows how Strope was killed but can’t say yet.

“Only the person who did it or the persons who were there would know how she was murdered so we don’t want to make that public."

There’s only one lab in Arkansas to check evidence. Sheriff May said it will take a few weeks to get results from the search.

What did victim’s goddaughter say?

According to Law&Crime, Ahlexyas Parham, identified as Strope's goddaughter, fondly reminisced, “She was full of life, love, and laughter."

"She didn’t care what people thought about her. I don’t think a lot of people realized it but every person she came across in her life, she taught them something.”

It wasn't uncommon for Strope to occasionally not communicate for sometime. However, her absence extended for a month in this instance.

Parham elaborated, “If she didn’t want to talk, it would only be for a couple of days and she’d be right back with us."

"So we knew it was unusual, but in everyday life, people don’t think about things like that, until things happen.”
