LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Former president Donald Trump accused incumbent Joe Biden of giving the elderly a bad reputation on account of apparently losing his mental acuity, during his interview with podcaster Joe Rogan on Friday, October 25.

According to the GOP nominee, Biden's apparent cognitive decline was not a result of his advanced age, but of brain surgeries that were not performed well.

At 81, Biden is the oldest sitting president in the history of the United States. Trump, being 78, is the oldest person to become nominated by a major party for the White House.

Donald Trump's comment on Joe Rogan podcast

Trump appeared on 'The Joe Rogan Experience' on Friday for a conversation that went on for three hours, reported Mediaite, and which eventually made the GOP nominee late for a rally in Michigan.

A variety of topics were brought up for discussion, with the business tycoon at one point addressing concerns about his age while criticizing incumbent Biden.

"We have idiots that are negotiating for us. We have a guy that doesn’t make it past four o’clock, and it’s not because of age, you know?" Trump told Rogan.

"They are – so I know so many guys in their late eighties, and they’re better than – I said to one guy, 'I think you’re smarter than you were 25 years ago.' I’ve known him for a long time. He’s 89 years old. He’s sharp as, I mean, he’s great."

"Biden gives people a bad name because that’s not an old – that’s not an age. I think they say because I’m three or four years younger, you know, I think that’s why they say it, they say, 'His age.' It’s not his age. He’s got a problem," Trump insisted.

Rogan pointed out that Biden had "two major brain surgeries" for aneurysms, to which Trump chimed in, "He did. Those are not good operations.”

According to the Moody Neurorehabilitation Center, Biden underwent surgery to treat two brain aneurysms while serving as a Senator representing Delaware.

Internet trolls Donald Trump for commenting on Joe Biden's mental acuity

Netizens reacting to the news on the Mediaite website mocked Donald Trump for commenting on the apparent mental decline of Biden. The following examples demonstrate the predominant takes.

"Trump is undoubtedly the dumbest president we’ve ever had. So a bit ironic," wrote a person.

"He thinks he's the smartest person in every room. With very few exceptions, people who think that way are the dumbest people in any room," expressed another.

"He thinks if he lies to people they are stupid enough to believe it," shared a third.

"You got beat by a guy who you claim had brain damage? Yikes," trolled a fourth.

"Trump doesn't have brain surgery to blame for his dementia," jibed a fifth.

"Trump is now the oldest person to run for POTUS so for all we know he's a ticking time bomb!" quipped yet another.
