WASHINGTON, DC: Donald Trump has accused Vice President Kamala Harris of a shocking lie, as doubts increase over the Vice President's claim regarding her humble beginnings. The accusation that Harris fabricated a story about working at McDonald's has led to widespread conjecture.

During his speech at the Moms for Liberty convention in Washington on Friday, August 30, Trump voiced doubts about a part of Harris's biography that she often cites to highlight her modest upbringing.

Donald Trump disputes Kamala Harris's McDonald's claim

"She also said, 'I worked at McDonald's'. Turned out she didn't work at McDonalds," the former president addressed the audience. "Did anyone see that?"

He added, "After an exhaustive study that took about 20 minutes, they found out she never worked there."

On Saturday, August 31, Trump accused Kamala Harris of lying about her employment at McDonald's. In a post on Truth Social, the Republican presidential nominee labeled his 2024 opponent as "comrade" and claimed she "also lied about Arlington Cemetery and Afghanistan."

The post read, "Comrade Kamala Harris lied about working at McDonalds. SHE NEVER WORKED THERE, they think she’s “nuts.” Likewise, she lied about Fracking, the Border, Crime, the Economy, and the Democrat’s “Suckers and Losers” HOAX, concerning our great military. She also lied about Arlington Cemetery and Afghanistan. She lies about everything!!! DJT"

Donald Trump scrutinizes Kamala Harris's McDonald's claim

Donald Trump's comments and Kamala Harris's claims have come under increasing scrutiny. In April, Harris was questioned about her purported fast-food job during her appearance on 'The Drew Barrymore Show'.

"I did. Yes, I did work at McDonald's," the vice president said. "When I was at school...I did fries. And then I did the cashier."

Harris reportedly worked at a franchise in the California Bay Area during the summer following her freshman year at Howard University. However, this biographical detail was not mentioned until her presidential campaign five years ago, Daily Mail reported.

Addressing workers at a labor rally in Las Vegas in 2019, the future vice president initially mentioned her tenure at the Golden Arches. "I worked in McDonald's," she said to the crowd. "I was a student when I was working at McDonald's."

There was skepticism about the claim from the beginning, with critics noting that Harris had not mentioned it before on the campaign trail or in her two published memoirs.

According to Free Beacon, Kamala Harris's book 'The Truths We Hold', released in 2019, does not reference her time working at McDonald's, even though it includes a section about the various jobs she did during college.

Critics have pointed out that Harris omitted her McDonald's employment from a resume and job application submitted a year after her college graduation.

On the job application for a law clerk position in the Alameda County district attorney's office, the vice president, who was in law school at the time, provided a list of previous jobs.

Despite being requested to list all positions held in the past decade, Harris omitted to mention her employment at McDonald's, fueling further speculation about the credibility of her claim.

Internet dubs Kamala Harris as 'pathological liar'

Following the news release on social media, reactions began to surface with users expressing criticism towards Kamala Harris.

A user said, "If she lies about something so insignificant.... Just imagine what she's capable of-- and what she's already lied about. (Ex Biden cognizance)"

Another added, "Obviously she lied to seem endearing to young voters who predominantly work in part time jobs. Sadly they get media from influencers who all work for Kamala so they'll never even know she lied."

One commentator mocked saying, "After We The People fire her in November maybe she will get the opportunity to work for McDonalds.. I really don’t think she could the job though."

May be that’s the only thing she has ever learned “TO LIE”" an Elon Musk's parody account commented.

A person claimed, "Kamrad Kamala is a pathological lier!!"

Someone else chimed in, "She’s a path*logic*l L*AR When you’ve done nothing positive to contribute to the society you claim to care about, you makeup seemingly relatable life events. Next they’ll “find” 10 coworkers to vouch for her."
