WASHINGTON, DC: Former President Donald Trump on Tuesday, June 4, formally accepted early voting, mail-in ballots, and absentee voting, reversing his earlier criticism and casting doubt on the validity of those procedures, stated the New York Post.

The Republican National Committee's grassroots organizing program, Trump Force 47, advocates for non-traditional voting techniques, which are included in the "Swamp The Vote USA" effort.

Trump said in a statement, "Republicans must win and we will use every appropriate tool to beat the Democrats because they are destroying our country. Whether you vote absentee, by mail, early in-person or on election day, we are going to protect the vote. We make sure your ballot is secure and your voice is heard."

He added, "We must swamp the radical Democrats with massive turnout. The way to win is to swamp them, if we swamp them with votes they can’t cheat. You need to make a plan, register, and vote in any way possible.  We have got to get your vote."

Throughout the 2020 race, Trump notably denounced mail-in voting, labeling it as "totally corrupt" as recently as February during a rally in Michigan.

However, in April, he took a different turn and posted on Truth Social, "ABSENTEE VOTING, EARLY VOTING, AND ELECTION DAY VOTING ARE ALL GOOD OPTIONS. REPUBLICANS MUST MAKE A PLAN, REGISTER, AND VOTE!"

Trump's early mistrust of absentee voting was fueled by the fact that President Biden won crucial states at the last moment in the 2020 election due to mail-in voting.

In that election, Democrats cast more absentee or mail-in ballots than Republicans (58% vs 32%), according to a Pew Research Center study.

Notably, the change in direction had been planned for months, as Republicans had publicly endorsed the vote procedures as a means of deposing Biden.

In December 2022, Donald Trump Jr supported early voting, stating the Republicans need to have the same "operation" as the Democrats to compete in November.

A person also stated, "Have to beat the democrats at their own game," whereas one mentioned, "I hope so. Use all that $ for this. We shall see."

A user also wrote, "What hypocrites. Stormed the Capitol because of 'irregularities' in 2020 election which was code for too much mail-in voting," while one stated, "What happened to same-day voting only? He claimed mail-in & absentee voting didn't count."
