MIAMI, FLORIDA: Former President Donald Trump reportedly said he had a gun in Florida during his pre-sentencing interview on June 10, possibly breaking release terms and facing a felony charge.

The 45th President was found guilty of 34 felony counts for falsifying business records after a brief deliberation on May 30, with sentencing scheduled for July 11.

Donald Trump confesses to having a gun in Florida during probation

During an interview, Trump informed officials that of the three weapons listed on his New York City concealed carry permit, one is believed to be back in Florida. While two of the firearms were handed over to police in March last year, Trump claims the third was "lawfully moved to Florida," according to CNN.

Under federal law, it is illegal for a convicted felon to possess a firearm or ammunition. Palm Beach police said that no such gun had been turned in since Trump’s felony conviction.

Additionally, an official in New York, "briefed on the probation investigation," stated that the outstanding gun "will be referred to local authorities in Florida to take whatever steps are necessary."

The outlet, citing New York City Police, reported that Trump’s concealed carry license, which has been suspended since his 2023 arrest, will now be revoked.

Netizens react to Donald Trump's felony confession

A user tweeted, "So rump admitted to his 35th felony?" [sic]

Another person agreed, saying, "Yes, you’re right about that one Morgan. He’s not the brightest. Chalk up another felony to the list if it gets followed up upon."

A user added, “'It’s a federal offense to possess a firearm or ammunition as a convicted felon' Maga is cheering Hunter’s conviction related to gun charges, but the system is 'rigged' if a federal offense applies to tRump. Have I got that right?" [sic]

"Add it to the pile," said a user. "Good, lock Trump up already," tweeted a user. "If Hunter Biden is going to get in trouble over having a gun...," read a tweet.
