GASPARILLA ISLAND, FLORIDA: Former Fox News host Tucker Carlson and Republican presidential contender Vivek Ramaswamy have criticized former United Nations ambassador Nikki Haley for her warmongering attitude and accused her of being a "puppet" for the Democratic Party in the 2024 US general elections.

In the interview posted on X, on Wednesday, January 3, Carlson criticized Haley by likening her to the Democratic donor class and citing her unwavering commitment to Ukraine fighting Russia and Israel fighting Hamas, the US-designated terrorist organization that governs the Gaza Strip.

What transpired in the interview between Carlson and Ramaswamy on Wednesday?

Carlson introduced his video by attacking Haley, calling her "a Republican candidate who's actually a Democrat."

Alluding to President Biden’s poor polling performance in recent months, Carlson said, “If you’re a Democratic mega donor, this is a very tough moment for you. Your candidate is going to lose.”

He continued, “So what do you do? Well, if you’re smart, maybe you subvert the other party. Maybe you back a Republican candidate who’s actually a Democrat whose priorities are identical to yours. And of course, they found one, her name is Nikki Haley.”

To bolster his point of view, Carlson aired a video of Haley saying on her campaign trail that Putin was behind the October 7 Hamas attacks, highlighting her alleged backing for "endless neocon wars."

“Strip away all the outward characteristics, and Nikki Haley is identical in her priorities to Joe Biden and the people who back Joe Biden,” he noted.

Ramaswamy defended Carlson's conclusion that Haley's support, which the host claimed to be Democratic, was bipartisan and included Republican relics of the Bush-Cheney era, per a report by The Hill.

He argued that these individuals were using Haley as "a much more convenient puppet" to the Democratic Party than, for instance, California Democrat Governor Gavin Newsom or former First Lady Michelle Obama.

“I think the true puppet masters, the thing about them, is they’re fundamentally nonpartisan in nature,” Ramaswamy stated in the interview.

The 38-year-old biotech entrepreneur added, “There’s a few things they care about: Keeping the foreign war machine humming is high on the list. Keeping the administrative state’s control of the United States is also high on the list. They found a much more convenient puppet within the Republican Party itself.”

The firebrand GOP presidential contender continued, “It’s not Biden, and it’s not even Gavin Newsom. It’s Nikki Haley within the Republican Party itself. And I think that that makes for a very convenient front man because then they actually have absolved themselves from any allegations of partisanship or Democratic partisanship against Donald Trump.”

Ramaswamy preceded to call the former South Carolina governor a "trojan horse" in the interview on X where seemingly the host and the guest had very little to disagree on.

Internet lauds Ramaswamy and Carlson for saying it the way it be

People on X seemed to side with the analysis that was presented in the interview on Wednesday despite the unnecessary name-calling and attempts at character assassination of the Republican presidential hopeful.

One X user remarked: “No lies detected."

Another user wrote: "One of these two will be trumps running mate."

Another user stated: "Good, she is 100% a puppet of the political establishment, isn’t it obvious?"

One user tweeted: "These guys are pandering for the VP spot while Nikki Haley is pandering for the one Trump endorses when he tries to play King maker after being disqualified by the courts. They are all a bunch of fools following a losing proposition."

Another X user said: "There’s the Trump clique, Establishent puppets (Haley, Christie) then the normal conservative patriots who support DeSantis."

Finally, this user remarked: "It’s not an attack. It’s truth telling…"
