TV host Sarah Ferguson reveals why Ben Affleck was one of her worst interviews ever
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Ben Affleck was reportedly less-than-affable when he was interviewed by ABC host Sarah Ferguson.
The Australian Broadcasting Corporation host recently opened up about her worst interviewing experience when she recalled the time she interviewed the ‘Good Will Hunting’ actor.
Speaking to Sydney Morning Herald's Sunday Life magazine, the award-winning host revealed that the Academy Award-winning Hollywood actor ranks “quite high up on the list” of her not-so-stellar interviewees.
Sarah Ferguson was less than impressed with Ben Affleck
Sarah Ferguson recently revealed to the outlet that she interviewed the ‘Gone Girl’ star when he was promoting his film ‘AIR’. Ben Affleck, along with his costar Chris Tucker appeared on her show (virtually) to promote their film in March 2023.
Recalling the meeting, Ferguson shared, “He was just rude, not interested, going through the motions.”
She also suggested that Affleck gave fumbling responses whenever he was asked about the movie he directed. Moreover, he also looked off-camera quite a few times.
When Ferguson asked him about the film’s development from a “White guys in business” film to a story about Michael Jordan's family, he did not give a suave response.
He said, “It happened by my looking at the story and thinking initially, you know, knowing a little bit how these companies work, and knowing about, you know, knowing by instinct it wasn't only White people who worked at this company who were relevant to the story.”
“And I didn't want to make that story. Luckily, Michael graciously made himself available to me, and directed me to the three people he felt were principally relevant here... and also he talked about his father and his mother,” added Affleck.
Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez's divorce rumor
Sarah Ferguson’s bombshell revelation came at a time when rumors abounded that Ben Affleck had “finalized” his divorce from Jennifer Lopez.
Several sources have reported that the divorce proceedings of the now-estranged couple "are finalized but not yet submitted."
A source close to the couple recently shared with an outlet, “They finalized the divorce papers with her a month ago, but are waiting for the right time to drop them.”
“At that time, they will release a joint statement that will say how they have much love for each other and how they fought to make it work, but couldn't,” they added further.
Another source continued, “Honestly, in the end they could not come to a compromise. What they had before is gone and they have both accepted it.”
