LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Lala Kent is prepared to enjoy being a mother once more! In a recent interview with Cosmopolitan, the 'Vanderpump Rules' star revealed that she has resorted to intrauterine insemination, or IUI, to conceive her second child.

Kent told the publication that she was passionate about having more children, whether or not she had a partner to do so. Kent is already a mother to her 2-year-old daughter Ocean from her relationship with her ex Randall Emmett, as per People.

Lala Kent says she doesn't 'need a man' to conceive second baby

The reality star told Cosmopolitan that despite not having a love partner, she is now ready to have another child after her 2021 split from Ocean's father, Randall Emmett.

Kent revealed that she realized she did not need a husband or boyfriend to have another child when her life took a "very different direction" from what she had intended.

The proud mother explained, "I've had friends who had gone the IUI route but were having trouble getting pregnant. It was the next step they would take before doing IVF (in vitro fertilization)."

"They were all in regular, normal -- I call them cookie-cutter -- relationships. And when I had my life go in a very different direction, I knew I wanted more kids."

"It was such a strange thing that was happening because everyone would tell me, 'You're going to find somebody.' And I got to thinking, 'Why does my wanting more children need to involve another person?' I think if there’s a will, there’s a way," Kent continued.

According to the Mayo Clinic, "IUI boosts the chances of pregnancy by placing specially prepared sperm directly in the uterus, the organ in which a baby develops." The process is also known as artificial insemination.

The IUI procedure is "very much having scientific sex," said Kent. "It's the most wild thing in the world. When my doctor was explaining it to me, I was like, 'Oh, this is just like I am in the bedroom with someone, but I don't have to wait for the big O.' It's just one and done," she added.

Lala Kent decided to go with IUI as she 'will not gamble' on having her baby

The reality personality revealed that she chose IUI because she wanted to be in charge of her circumstances.

"I will not gamble on me having my child," she declared, before adding, "And I just don't think that finding a partner and falling in love with someone has anything to do with bringing a child into the world."

Currently, Kent advises other women to place their bets on themselves before anything else.

Kent knew that one "option" for her trip was an IUI, and another was a donor. The pretty blonde also shared her reasons for wanting to be open about her experience being a mother.

"I felt this need to start talking about it because there are women out in the world who sit there and wait for a man to come into the picture and are just yearning for children even though there is another way to get pregnant," she explained.

"If you want children and are only waiting for ‘that person’ to come into your life, let’s talk about a different route that we can take. It's 2024! There are many ways to have a baby, and you don't need a man to do it," Kent added.

Lala Kent is all prepared for the IUI process

The 33-year-old reality personality said she is open to exploring all options for getting pregnant, including IVF and adoption if IUI fails to produce pregnancy.

Regarding her current status in the procedure, Kent stated that the donor has been found and she is eager to move on to the next step.

"I'm in the process of tracking my periods and ovulation days, and I’m in close connection with my fertility specialist," Kent stated. "We've got all our ducks in a row. The donor is secured, which I'm super excited about."

Kent further joked about selecting her donor, saying, "It's like you’re shopping for your partner but only to have a child, so there’s a lot that goes into it. But the moment I found this donor, it just spoke to me. He felt like my baby daddy."

The procedure will be shown in the next season of 'Vanderpump Rules'. Kent has revealed to Cosmo that the story will be "way more emotional" than what viewers are accustomed to watching.
